Not sure why I read comments. It just lessens my opinion of the intelligence of other humans. Instead of just enjoying the music, everything has to turn into an argument. Were you expected McCartney to shred like Hendrix here? That would be like expecting Mozart to shred on the guitar. It would be like expecting Einstein to know everything about chemistry. You can't be a genius at everything -- there's not enough time. Hendrix chose guitar, Macca chose songwriting/singing/bass guitar.

Maybe someone also did not understand the meaning of my - two word - comment: has nothing to do with (also god) Hendrix, but only with McCartney: he is still one of my favourite musicians, bass players, vocalist etc. but: as a guitar performance this is - for me - rather poor.

But: what is about your conception of english, Emil? As mentioned above, I do admire Paul as a musician, bass player, vocalist etc. - but: this interpretation of Foxy lady is - from a guitarist point of view and in my opinion - just weak. Blasphemy means to be without respect to god. There are not too many able to be self blasphemic. Got me?

@walacemb It's a scaled down version of a 10 foot fiberglass Les Paul he had signed. The guitar was for charity and the winner had to donate it to a hospital. They would receive a Gibson Les Paul also signed by Mccartney and would meet them when the guitar was donated to the hospital.

I am guitarist and this solo wasn't great simple improvisation on pentatonic, everyone after practising few years can do this

Try one of his walking bass lines whilst singing alto in harmony to John's tenor, learn to be procficient on drums and piano along the way, write a 100 brilliant songs, make a billion dollars, and then tell me any rube can do it. He's not Hendrix. I can play that solo. But I can't write a song like he does. He's pure genius.

This solo actually isn't all that great lol ... I mean, don't get me wrong, talented guy, great songwriter...but it isn't hard to play guitar solos like Paul McCartney. He isn't really known for his guitar playing anyway, though. Not sure what this video was even for.
