Brilliant film. My mate and I were on Princes street the day they filmed the chase. I used to live just down from the 'clovie' bridge too. And yes. Rob Roy a much better film than braveheart. Hell Restless Natives was a better film than braveheart. Just to put a cat among the pigeons. Wallace isn't even the 'brave heart' of Scotland. That's Robert the Bruce. Heart cut out upon death and taken on Crusade by a member of the Douglasses. (bruce penence for stabbing comyn was to go on crusade)

Agreed, I never heard Wallace called braveheart till 1985, and this one of the Scottish "Wee Gem Films" like "The Maggie", and "The Little Kidknappers".

Not seen the film for years but an absolute classic lost count how many times i seen them but best moment was standing arm in arm with stuart singing "In a Big Country" at Glasgow Barrowlands before stewards turfed me out....but it was worth it.

I can play relatively hard riffs on my guitar , but at 2:19 to 2:37 minutes on this track is a riff that is a bit above the realms of belief , this was to be Stuarts signature guitaring , the best I've ever experienced and I challenge you to find an equal to Stuarts work , we can copy and we can reach similar sounds but not with the superiority of Stuarts.
