LesPaulzrule-Yeah,he found his original 3 p/up limited,as the 3 position switch was one pickup for each position.The new one works the same as a std switch,BUT push the toggle forward(in any position) to engage the middle pickup-Brilliant.Basically giving you your traditional les paul settings with the option of activating middle pickup(or de-activating it0whenever you want.Oh,he also has a coil tap on the bridge p/up for extra bite.He had 5 to try and kept the one he liked best....seen here.

Remember when radio was a place to hear a variety of new music? I relied on college radio to find the more advant guard stuff. LZ in '77, I'm envious. You would've been 11, what an experience. I was busy honing my skateboarding/mini-bike skills in rural PA.
