The picture really says something. Juri's hopelessly in love with Shiori, in my opinion anyway, and Shiori's very manipulative. I have a feeling she knows of Juri's affections and decides to take advantage of them sometimes. Playing with her, if you will, only to get something out of it. This picture screams that to me. That Shiori is only doing this shamelessly to hurt or to manipulate the situation the way she wants it. Juri's just in pleasure unable to resist.

@shadowclock13 Yeah, no kidding. Shiori really is a manipulative, vindictive person. In the series Juri loved not only her but Ruka and they both were her best friends. Juri found only the ghost of a chance she stood with Ruka. Shiori purposely took him from her by using her own clever tactics to spread rumors and hook and sink him into place, in other words sort of "locking" him onto her affections. And, vindictive because well I guess she wanted to get back at Juri for stealing attention?

@shadowclock13 Yeah it is. And what's her reason for it? "I took him from you Juri. I wanted to hurt you Juri, I wanted to just hurt you. That's why I took him from you and I have no regrets about it." She says something like that. Juri and Shiori have that sort of Love/Hate thing going on.

@animetomboy6 The boy Shiori "stole" from Juri wasn't Ruka. That boy is in the first Juri episode and you never see him again. Ruka has blue hair and is a duelist. He shoes up near the end of the series. Although Shiori did go off with Ruka too. I don't think she ever thought Juri was interested in Ruka.

@ptilol Either way, I get them mixed up, but thanks for the clarification. No, then, I remember the guy's name name. The boy Shiori stole from Juri is Dominique. Which is strange but hey I don't name the characters. And well I'd expect nothing less of Shiori.

@animetomboy6 the bit about the boy Juri stole being named Dominique. They very strongly imply in the anime that even though there's visual differences, Ruka has always been the guy of the love triangle, so I'm curious where this Dom came from-sounds like manga stuff.

@ArcaneArts Shiori stole Dominique from Juri. It's in the anime. I never read the mangas lol. At least I'm fairly sure I remember that that was his name.

@animetomboy6 They never named him in the anime, although he is clearly visually different from Ruka. The implication I always had was there was a decision for a visual change to the character to something more readily in theme with main character designs and they chalked it up to him dying changing his appearance some. But they never named the brunette man.

@ArcaneArts Well I get Ruka and him mixed up sometimes. But I could have sworn they named him. I heard it from somewhere. Either way I still love Utena, I may have just interpreted it differently than you. But, if you say so then I'll go along with it. ^^'' You know, people can be wrong, so maybe I am with this. Won't know till I watch it again. :)

@animetomboy6 Well, this is why I was checking, because I watched the remastered series recently and I thought I might have missed something, so I had to be sure I wasn't going crazy. So it's entirely possible I'm wrong.

It's all good either way, as the name of one character is not what defines the psychological masterpiece that is RGU(Or SKU, if yer a purist).
