Dr. Andrew Weil is a Joke, ok "questionable?"

When I initially saw this video months ago, I was still working in allopathy. However, I went back to school to become a Naturopathic Doctor. After my last experience in which I got fired from the VA Hospital for telling people about naturopathic remedies and prescribing Vitamin D, I've been on a crusade. So seeing Bert tell it like it is, is refreshing. And when I become an ND, I'll be doing the same. If people don't like the truth, then too bad. Too many pacifists without any cajones.

There are plenty of things a practioner can do short of chemo, however, this guy clearly is in bed with the wrong people. I have also done research which strongly suggests/shows that he has partnered with a Big Pharma dispensary. There was a lawsuit in fact, so it gives it certainly makes it credible. I also am aware that his institution only allows MD's and DO's to work there or do a clinical rotation. Seriously? Integrative holistic care? This is a joke.

I used to be an avid Dr. Weil supporter. And when I was on the fence, I kind of took this video with uncertainty. However, having done more and more research, I have come to the conclusion that Dr. Weil has some good advice to give about general issues; however, he will not touch the cash cow of Cancer and other diseases. Dr. Weil's thought toward cancer is that he should assist allopathy in giving them herb like supplements to help support the bodies ability to handle chemo therarpy!! :-?

the challenge....why not....answer that why not....because he hasn't or at least shown what he has done or proved enough on his own merits to do half the stuff he preaches....not with proof....anyone can talk talk talk.....so ???

his so called Uof A program is what???? for students wanting to be A.M.A. DOCTORS taught by A.M.A. DOCTORS are they the only credible source...no only of using DRUGS,pharmaceuticals, and standards of convention.......lets get REAL

Is it maybe (just maybe) possible that more than one side could be valid? Maybe your method works and maybe Weil's method works? Maybe someone else's method works too? If it works, let it work. If a method is helping even one person I'd think that it's worth having around.

Mr. Seelman, you're missing the point. Weil seeks to infuse conventional, reliable mainstream medicine with alternative measures. He's seeking to reform contemporary medicine - not create a "big tent" for all sorts of non-medical practitioners out there. You bill yourself as a "human performance specialist" - never heard of such a thing!

@BrianTerrill This video is spot on. I used to follow Weil and think highly of him. However, where are his studies? Why isn't he making more headline news? He sells products and he will NEVER touch the cash cow of Big Pharma, and that's cancer. Watch The Brudzynski Movie! Learn about the FDA and the power. Why doesn't Weil go after the FDA? With all his power and money? Why not? B/c he's been in on projects with them. Do the research buddy. Ppl who thumb'd this down don't know the truth yet.

Integrative medicine entails conventional along with the alternative, as for the why he is not publishing the results is because the medical world will not accept it because medication is not used. As for why the hair is gray, and the waistline, well that is simply a matter of genetics.

The osteopaths caved decades ago. Remember "chiropodists"? They had gone up against the AMA and lost their "hands" so-to-speak. Nursing has often remained rather subordinate to MD's. The AMA tried to "destroy"' Chiropractic...and (the AMA) lost. They lost big time and paid for it (they settled). Remember the old Lucky Strike commercials (yes, cigarette commercials!)?

Well, the osteopaths arekinda the opposite of that bec they'd "rather switch than fight". Anyway, there are good DO's and good MD's that actually know what they are doing w/ regard to nat'l med, but they are the def minority.
