I really love this, while it has a human like sadness to it, its walk also makes me question what it is to have persona and self-perception in the identity of human form. If i was to name it, it would be ''pitty''
I almost feel bad for the thing. It looks like a lone little man pulling a huge cart ^^ but in a way, it's cute, and strange. I really don't know what to make of it, and I guess that's why its so great.
not sure about the actual way in this video but the piece is in the permanent collection at the MIT Museum in Cambridge, MA and there it's powered by two copper flexible contacts which drag on 2 live rails on the ground. it also has this awesome turntable mechanism that cause it to reverse direction and walk back and forth all day. An in person visit is highly recommended.
I love how many people say he has too much time on his hands. He is a sculptor you morons, THIS IS HIS JOB, and i'm sure its alot cooler than whatever the hell you do everyday.
teletubby89...i hope your talking about CrazyKidCorp...because this is pretty damn interesting, if you dont get the artistic aspect of it, i feel sorry for you.
That is absolutely fascinating, and extremely beautiful to watch. I'm an instant Arthur Ganson fan, and I thank the person who gave Ganson's site link in his comment; http://www.arthurganson.com/pages/Sculptures.html
wow, really creative! i love the part when it shows the whole creation from afar, it looks even more amazing. kinda creepy bc of the bone walking but still pretty hypnotic
In artistic terms this shows the inner struggle that leg bones and thigh bones have with the inerds of turkeys. The mobility and outer sangtorum of the wishbone. Then again it could be that this object is just a plug for the band Wishbone Ash
ah yes, i beleive these were used in the clinton-reagan war of '88. despite their slow pace and massive size, measuring in at about 80 feet tall, they were known to slaughter as many as 800 royal marines in one minute, making these tall beasts ministers of death and pain.
Cool video. How long did this piece take you to make? I especially like the 3/4 point contact to the ground. The motor is the small part at the lower part of the back?
i think theres symbolism behind this. the huge machine is being led by an entire wishbone. perhaps it has something to do with if someone has a dream, or a desire / wish, you can go places. dunno thats just my thinking.

It's actually very scary to see a walking wishbone, regardless as to whether or not it is powered by a machine.

how was it powered i thought i saw a little motor but no power source, anybody know?

At about 57 seconds a black plastic housing can be seen. Probably a battery holder.
