  • Hot damn... Good Job!!!

  • looks great, going to make one too.

  • good stuff. im researching this to make my own. nice to see the effect of adding some xtra pipe. stay free and happy

  • you gonna wanna be careful with using wood ash as an insulator. If you leave your stove out in the rain and the ash isn't sealed in the container properly, and it starts to fill with water, the water will leach lye out of the ash making lye water which is corrosive and needs to be handled carefully

  • I think if you dug a hole in the ground and had your exhaust tube running into a pile of rocks, you could heat the rock pile up and gather around it/cook your food on it, versus having a separate campfire.

  • This is the best rocket stove I have seen so far. All the others claimed to be rocket but actually a hobo stove.

  • Wood ash, great Idea!

  • I like it. I wanna build one now. This would make cooking during the spring and summer more fun.

  • Get a Lodge cast iron dutch oven to cook in. Perfect for high heat like that!

  • hi from New Zealand. what accent is that? he sound slike Tony Joe White ;)

  • @chevyvictor I'm from Charlotte, NC. USA

  • yep cool songs! Roosevelt and Ira Lee, Willy and Laura-mae Jones was other great hits too

  • Cool, so, basically, the longer the pipe/chimney the better the flame?

  • thanks for the video

i will build a mini version of that from a tin can for single person use

  • Did the flame wreck that galvanized pipe? Great vid!

  • nice.

  • Did your cameraman has parkinson?. Otherwise nice video !!!

How long those thin pipes last?

  • That's great, I love it. If that pipe would have been anouther 3 feet higher I think you would have burned a hole in the bottom of the pot !

  • That's cool man

  • Great video. Good idea to lengthen the chimney too! One note is that I have heard that burning galvanized metal lets off poisonous gas. There is a black stove pipe that can be used instead of galvanized. Maybe consider that for next time.

  • use a tripod

  • heh there TAPQ, real nice video. I like seeing the difference between a short flue and a long one. A question I would like to ask Rocket Stove makers is have you ever tried using charcoal inside?? A regular grill you have to use half a bag or so to cook your food. Can you cook you food with a few charcoal briquettes?? Thanks again for enjoyable video. I love to watch people create things and create things myself. Please, would you mind trying someone plain charcoal, let me know about it thx

  • this is the best rocket stove vid ever bar-nun. thanks joe

  • One of the best rocket stove videos I have seen. If you have welding skills use some steel pipe instead of aluminum and you will get more life out of it. Good job!

  • right on nice to see the difference between a short flue and the long one you put on. The long one is really getting a complete burn of all the flue gasses which equal more heat to your pot!

  • Dude you kick ass that was awesome! Wish I would've been there.

  • Awesome job Tapq!!!!! You need to make me one of those...lol
