  • Love this, I would love to program lights like this for Disney world when I'm older, something I have always wanted to do! Do u do this for a living?

  • perfect

  • what kind of hazer do you use??

  • WOW!

  • good I love your video !

  • whats the song

  • Is this at UT?

  • What's the music? Amazing job :D

  • can you give me the price for this.

  • Hello,

Could you give a link to the "crystal fixtures" that you used in this production? I am having a hard time finding them via google.

    Thanks Much!

    -Zach

  • Which is name music???

  • Nice show.... shame onli whit 2 movingheads :-/

  • Beautiful!

  • amazing show man!

    just had a question

the lights on bottom stage left and right, are those the ellipsoidals?

if so what did you use to get it to shine like 5 different beams?

  • Thanks!

They're crystal fixtures. I think they're lamps (ie. not ellipsodials) with a break-up gobo on them.

  • ohhhhh ok cool thank you

  • Excellent programing

  • Excellent!! Gave me goosebumps!

  • how long did it take to do the programing?

    Very good by the way!

  • This is a really good video

  • sehr gut

  • really cool!!!!!!!!

  • nice job what kind of board did you use and what were the lights you used. i worked with stage lights and i know how hard it is to get it just right.

  • Hey,

Equip list is listed in the right if you click on "more info." And yeah, it doest take some prodding to get it right.

  • Nicely done for not having that many lights to work with.

  • very beautiful! Do you have any suggestions for us on how we would get a person with this level of lighting experience to work with my band? We have really dramatic music that would match lighting very well but we personally do not know lighting technicians on this level! Any tips would be helpful!!!

  • WELL DONE

  • Thank you!

  • Great design. I'm not sure if this was manual or timecode. Either way timing was impeccable. Very nicely done.

  • This show was manually cued :)

  • how do you sinc the board with music?

  • We use Sony Acid to generate the SMPTE timecode over MIDI.

There is a neat program call LoopBe that lets you direct MIDI from one application to another. So in our case, we use LoopBe to direct MIDI from Sony Vegas to the Hog 3 software. Of course, this only works if you're running both applications on the same computer.

  • looking back at my comments - I've realized I've misspoke. This show was manually cued, but we could have ran the show with the technique that I've talked about above.

  • hey great show but you should have filled in the dead time like rheaney1 said use more of those pars in the back especially in the big bang parts very nice assortment of color tho

  • Jay, you really should use your PAR's in the back a little more! They look good, even if not on full. Make them twinkle or something when there's not alot of something else going on! :)

  • I was trying to maintain the original design concept and adhere to the narrative. While there may have been portions of the piece where it seemed that not much was going on, it was intentional, and any widespread use of kinetic effects could be a deviation from the original concept. It can definitely be improved upon, like anything, however since I was trying to stay "close" to the actual show, any other changes would have to be considered sensitively. Thanks for the feedback.
