can you tell me the details of the parts for going water with the 5850 Twin Frozr? I plan to go water with it too, but i cant find any full covers or atleast guides with gpu only + heatsinks!
@OggerMC As far as I know there is no full cover block that works with the Twin Frozr 5850s. You will need the MCW80 or something similar. Then put the copper heatsinks on your RAM.
@dave5785568 I have changed cards since this video... currently not running water over my 2 HD 5850's but will in the future again, I now have a XFX 5850 and an Asus Direct/CU 5850. I want to sell the XFX and buy another Asus because they overclock better. I will say that putting water on your video card is fantastic! My idle temps were around 30 °C and at load was in the mid 40s.
@Toutvids O wow wouldn't have thought the asus would be the best for overclocking. I love to watercool my pc but the only thing that puts me off is the price of the gpu waterblocks :(. I see your pc has an agility 2, I just ordered a vertex 2 :) would you say its worth the massive price tag?
@dave5785568 Yes! An SSD is a huge upgrade (even though smaller in size) over a standard drive. Windows will boot insanely fast and any program you have loaded on that drive will start very quick. Windows will feel very responsive! Enjoy that SSD!
Yes water cooling blocks are expensive which is why I bought the Swiftech MCW80 ($50) which just cools the GPU. You then buy some copper ramsinks for the RAM on your video card and you are good to go! Of course then you need a resevoir, pump, etc...
@Toutvids Yeah ive seen that gpu cooler looks like it could catch on. Also what do you think of the EK VGA supreme?
Yeah I purchased a Vertex 2 120gb which should be enough, just got to wait the for the post which is going to be delayed because of the holidays :( lol cant wait :)
Yes, by putting the radiator outside the case for the CPU loop and adding a second set of fans (I was only running 2 fans) my temps dropped significantly. Idle temps are 2°C lower and my load temps dropped around 8°C from what I have seen so far. I think running a separate loop for the GPU made a lot of difference also.
How do you like the XSPC X2O 450 pump/res combo? Buying it this week, just curious how quiet it is, and how well it runs?

@healthyenuftodie Mine runs great, I can't hear it at all since I have fans whirring right along on my radiators.

sorry but that anti kink shit on your tubing is hideous, would look ten times better without that shit.

@msibayan407 It's all a matter of opinion. Since this is my computer and not yours....

@Toutvids May I just say I think it looks awesome :). I have the same gpu as you hows the water cooling improving its overclockability?

@dave5785568 EK makes killer water blocks, just make sure it's compatible with your graphics card, you can do that on their website.
Vertex 2 120 GB, nice! I wish I had waited and bought a 120 instead of the 60, oh well.
