A very silly question indeed, TAS, is not something you use :P

With emulators, such as Zsnes or Snes9x, you can use tools, such as slowdowns and savestates, to overcome reaction-failures and human errors.

That is what a TAS / Tool-Assisted Speedrun is ;)
