Emilie and Hannah are both amazing, but their songs are different. Emilie is a lot more visceral, I find, singing songs about what she feels, whereas Hannah sings more thought-related, story-telling songs.
Marriage of Life and Death. I wonder if there will ever be a god-devil, who is everything and nothing, the same a son of life and death all things are different except that they are united who shall know life and death? which comes first? are we reborn from the dead? do we live again? It would be so beautiful thereso the marriage of the carnal-everlasting As I listen to these songs I hear, beautifully evil forms and the welcoming arms of Love. Pocket. love it, hannah! :)
If it wasnt for my love of emilie autumns music, i never would have listened to hannah fury when i seen her on the "similar" list. They are both so unique and i'm glad i clicked on this video
it's from a person from the Root who slipped on a dirt wall and fell in a river, metaphysically, from a though. with his only lover, she sang back i loved my first love. i'm dead.
I think that Hannah and Emilie are compared so much not because of necessarily how their music sounds, but because of their sort of unusual and haunting lyrics and how different they are compared to all of the other artists out there. There's no one like Hannah Fury, there's no one like Emilie Autumn, so they sort of go together. If that makes sense. BTW beautiful song. <3
She's very different to EA, and I've been an EA muffin for 4 years, and only just listened to Hanah Fury today, they can not be compared. They are just too different. Both are special in their own unique way
this song is amazing. I've never heard of Hannah Fury, so this was a really nice suprise! Btw, can anyone tell me -- who exactly is Jeff Buckey? Someone below said this song was about him?
Who cares if they LOOK alike. I have been listening to both musicians for quite some time and it seems in recent years, they're starting to gain a more fake tweenie fan base. I swear to god, if this ends up getting ruined by a bunch of mallcore goth kids whom care more about style then the message and music itself, my heart will literally break in two.
As long as she keeps putting out music that you love then no one should be able to ruin it for you no matter what they say or think. The only thing that matters is what the music means to you.
I barely started listening to Hannah Fury's music and I agree with you. It's not that I don't like Emilie Autumn Not at all I think she's great. But I don't see the comparison in them both. And I barely started listening to them TODAY. But there both great artist with there OWN unique style!
@guada789 I understand your point. Actually when I started to know them both I also didn't thought there was much in common. I still don't think so xD but there are some details that just seam similar. I dunno if it is the sounds in the music, the main idea of the song or the weird wonderful (different) magic they both transmit.
But they actually seam out of this world to me.. I personally compare Emilie with a Fairy and Hannah with a Siren xD Both wonderful and magical <3
It's (at least to me) all in how they display themselves. Like how they dress, and the sort of concepts they use. How they're both quite dark (though that's a very wide field) and how they take inspiration both from history, (Marie Antoinette, Victorian Asylums) and from the idea of escaping reality, with descriptions of pain endured, explaining and justifying the desire for escape. I'ma shut up now. Love them both :D
I really like Hannah Fury...I find her style very different to EA's though...Hm. Kinda similar subject matter though. IDK. They're all the best musicians in the world! <3
Hmm. iTunes recomended me her because I have a lot of Emilie Autumn. She's pretty awesome I still prefer EA. She has a gorgeous singing voice, Miss Fury does.
lol, the story of lilcas have to do with greek mythology..their time of blooming announce the arrival of spring and purple lilacs symbolize first love whilst white lilacs represent youthful innocence=3

Hannah Fury s voice is very awesome, the song very mysterious.
I never saw Hannah Fury at TV in Germany,
thats a great pity.
