  • Great job!

  • great job on a tune that is challenging on the fingers and lips. well done.

  • this song is no way racist. it"s creative, it"s thin skin pussy"s like u that want to be a victim cause your fucking miserable. Maybe u can"t stand that a white man came up with a creative song with a hawaiian theme, if a hawaiian was singing it u wouldn"t be crying, the truth is deep down u really like this song, grow up you miserable person

  • Jordanthecat...I used to think that as well, you have changed my mind. You have a great ear for picking up on another performers ways.. I think, although I may be wrong, Prines voice was smothed out a bit by some JD?..His lazy laid back way of making a song flow could have been booze.. (curse me if I'm wrong),

  • @cdouaire Years ago when I saw him in concert, he always had a big glass of what looked like rye and coke on the table next to him, along with a cigarette burning in the ashtray. Sometimes it seemed he'd had a few drinks before coming on stage and we'd have to prompt him about how some of his songs started- which was part of the fun. He still has an occasional drink towards the end of a show, but those cigarettes are long gone.

  • this guy did a great job of imitating John Prine...!!

  • @cdouaire Hey, thanks! But there's really no substitute for the real thing, is there?

  • I love it. Great guitar playing!

  • Another Racist singing this Racist fucking song

  • Thanks for understanding.

  • well done. See my cover, Hello In There if you wish!

  • great cover

  • good Job.

  • thanks for the comment. sounds nice. it must have took a lot of damn practice to get it to sound exactly like prine.

  • Thanks a lot, Chuck!

  • xD Aloha! So much fun! We still have a few piles of snow down here (and snow last weekend) but we're warming up gradually. Your music warms my heart!

  • Winter is officially over but Mother Nature hasn't received the memo yet, that's all. Hang in there!

  • Wow, you cheered up my morning, thank you so much. It was very nice, I adore your fluency in Hawaiian -- and in playing the guitar.

May I listen to it again? ;-)

  • Many thanks, sir! Always nice to hear from a fellow John Prine fan!

  • Very Great Song!!!! A John Prime fan and loves the Memphis garage bands. You have the talent to carry on the music of others! Keep keeping own!!! Memphis and soul and folk well never die as long as people like you keep it up!!!

  • Thanks for the kind words, Doris. This music will carry on in spite of me.

  • Do all Canadians speak Hawaiian so fluently? Great job, man, as usual.

  • My Hawaiian is better than my grade nine French!

  • lol

  • nice job there Ian - good ta see ya back ta knockin' Prine tunes outa the park

    how u appear & disappear - majic?

  • Thanks, Tom. No majic involved there, I think it was just my fading attention span caught on film.

  • Hiya baby wnna lay

  • Thanks for the kind offer Brian, but I'm seeing someone right now. I'll keep you on my speed-dial, though ;)

  • That's the funniest song. You do Prine excellently!

  • Many thanks! Cheers from Canada to Finland!

  • GREAT cover!! Don't know how ya sang this without crackin' up! Prine writes some great stuff but this one has got to be in my top ten favorite. I can never sing it without crackin' up.

  • Thanks, John.

I've always liked Prine's fun songs, almost as much as I love his sad songs.

"Sad songs say so much," to quote Reginald Dwight.
