To w101ZE Howdy, sometimes the houses get hot and just explode, but in general you are right. We as homeowners have a lot of of ways to reduce fire risk, starting with where choose to build or buy, and where to put the house on the lot. After that construction materials and design AND landscaping/hardscaping.
The only issue with building a fire resistant home is the windows. A fair number houses burn from radiant heat.
