  • "124 below zero"?? dude, i cant even imagine being in that. Tough people there, im sure.

@ 2:50 when the children are demonstrating the dances, great to see young people involved with their heritage. Amazing what one can learn from his/her elders.

  • I'm moving to Barrow in a week and a half.

  • @wynternight777 How's going so far?? Lived there for seven years....One of the things you need to know during the winter is,,,,STAY INSIDE!!!

  • it never got 124 below zero in barrow alaska.

  • my bad - was tired and focused on driving - anyways it gets really cold in barrow!

  • I assume he means -124F, not -124C. ;-)

What was the temperature the day this was recorded? How long did you stay?

  • After -45 below, all degrees are the same Fahrenheit and Celsius.

  • Oops, my bad, after using the conversion formula, I discovered that is where the two meet and is equal. Anyway, I would still love to visit Barrow and meet these beautiful people who work very hard to keep what they have! Congrats on the return of the SUN!! :)

  • ohh I was on a similar tour, I remember that guy's voice. didn't watch the dancing show tho. it went there in march 2008. it was pretty cold then, i have to admit. I walked and snowmobiled down the Arctic Ocean.

    miss the Barrow High School!.

and the weather in that movie is really pretty.

  • cool, i'll be in barrow in 2 weeks.

  • very cool video thats one place i want to spend one winter in. -124 thats crazy. but i would love it i live in Colorado and it gets around -30 in the winter. its true heaven is on earth!!!

  • Who was your tour guide?

Yeah, I can believe it got down to -124 with the wind chill factor, but the actual temperature doesn't get all that cold, their coldest recorded actual temperature was -56. It has gotten colder than that in Ely, Minnesota and many parts of Canada.

  • Great, now you guys should come down to Key West....the waters fine.

  • the young boy sure knows how to dance.

  • I enjoyed this. Thanks for posting it.

What was the air and water temperature that day?

  • It was a very warm day for Barrow, around 40 degrees fahrenheit. Water temp I couldn't say, but I didn't see anyone swimming.

  • How much did the tour cost?

I was thinking of going myself.

  • That was eight years ago. I can't remember. I booked the tour through Alaska Airlines. You might check their web site, if they are still doing it.

  • jajajaja vampires, so hollywood style.

I want go to Barrow and Anchorage someday, and other cities of Alaska, it seems like an amazing place.

Greetings from Mexico, thanks for the upload.

  • cool thanks for the up load!

  • how could anyone live here

    plus there's vampires

  • HAHA... Vampires?

  • I'd love to live there,better than Philly;

  • @JoeNJ1 Joe, if you are from jersey, why compare it to Philly? One of the folks who left Philly only to realize you want to come back "home" and can't afford it now? Trust me, this is probably a nice place to visit but not "better then Philly". Your comment stinks of bitterness. Bridesburg/Port Richmond/Fishtown/Kensington for Life!

  • @ReganMarcelis They want to come back cause they're pathetic inbreds who can't handle it anywhere else. Your comment stinks of ignorance, quit following my posts.

  • @JoeNJ1 SO WE AGREE? LOL... AMEN BROTHER.

BTW: Nothing aganist BARROW as I looked it up due to interest 'would love to "visit."
