it was recorded in an old church so the entire thing is a huge open plan which sounds great but when recording vocals the early reflections from the wall behind are often undesirable hence the sheets behind them giving that 'budget' studio impression, it is actually a really nice studio idea.

but when you are that amazing you wouldn't need great equipment to make you sound good anyway.

I live in Hamilton and just think its awesome that they practiced/recorded "Sleeping Sickness" at that location. As Dallas walks up to the front of the building at the beginning, in the background is a bid red brick house which my buddy used to rent and we had keg parties to pay their rent.

I never knew that place was for recording etc...
