I can't recall a time I've ever been so emotionally wrapped up in a game (regardless of sport) as this game. Went into it with very bright thoughts and when that second goal hit for Slovenia, just total misery, especially because of the missed chances earlier. Then when Donovan scored, it became hopeful but I was a nervous wreck as each minute passed by. Elation at the Bradley goal (and the Edu called back goal), then totally bummed about the call but thankful for the point.

I once saw a picture of the disallowed goal that Koman's whistle was already in his mouth practically seconds after Donavon took the kick and there was no foul in the picture. He was probably already planing to disallow it.

People are so critical of referees. Everybody makes mistakes and in a high pressure situation like this for a referee it can be very difficult to make the right decision, people forget, the referee only gets to see it once. I had to watch it 15 times before i was 100% sure there was no foul. Players don't get nearly as much criticism as the referees, despite their job being much easier.

And just in case anyone wondered, he could have changed his decision right up until the free kick was taken.

When the USA won against Algeria in the World Cup EVERYONE in America was talking about it. The men are certainly disappointing but when they play in the Gold Cup or Confederation Cup (when the competition is not very good) they tend to do well. Outside of the World Cup the women, right or wrong, are largely ignored.
