it's so weird that the Italian Westerns have made this association with music to film. Especially since the music doesn't represent a Western setting. But somehow it DOES through spaghetti westerns. 2 things that don't seem to belong together converge in Spaghetti Westerns that didn't before. And that's just awesome.
but it is not on the official soundtrack, there is an extra CD with extra tracks.. vol. 1 has 50 tracks on it! i think it has been made by fans/freaks or something ;) not official i think, because it is not on discogs.
Damn he even used day of anger. I use to like that tarantino used the songs but now for some reason its starting to piss me off that he used all these spaghetti western songs and exploited them.
@J1j1p, I do recall it in vol. 2. When Elle and Beatrix having there big fistfight, at one time Elle does a flying kick and suddenly everything seems to be in slowmotion. The part of 2:26 is used to emphasize this slowmotion part of the flying kick.
Cannibal Holocaust is a great soundtrack. and so disturbing when it later gets juxtaposed with attrocities. They play off each other so much that it somehow makes the scnene more disturbing.
@anna0karina You might quite like a little compilation CD called "Beat at Cinnecita" - it has quite a few soundtracks from the Italian films of the 1960s. Riz Ortolani scored quite a few!

This is my favorite from Ortolani, but he is best known for his award winning song "More". It is featured on the soundtrack of the film "Mondo Cane".

True!
It's almost like "Gross! That music's sweet though...".
The Second Coming of Suzanne was kinda like that....Sandra Locke (aka Mrs. Clint Eastwood) as Jesus(!)... with an oddly fascinating soundtrack.
In any event, Ortolani's dope.
