WOW people, read, learn, research... I am from Puerto Rico, born and raised. Puerto Rico is a commonwealth territory of USA. Its located in the Caribbean (its an island) which is part of the America's. We are US Citizen and have the same benefits as anyone in the Mainland. And yes we use the US Dollar and there are Wal Marts... BTW Naya Rivera is half Puerto Rican!

Puerto Ricans have been migrating to the United States since the 19th century and have a long history of collective social advocacy for their political and social rights and preserving their cultural heritage. New York City has the largest concentration of Puerto Ricans in the United States- and that is where the plot of the movie takes place.
