  • Stevia is good! However, not all stevias are alike. Some stevia powders use methanol/ethanol in their extraction processes which means your stevia may have left-over methanol/ethanol. Truvia, PureVia, and Stevia Extract in the Raw should be avoilded at all costs because they contain GMO ingredients including GMO stevia and corn sugar from GMO corn!

My favorite stevia powder is Stevita. It uses water - and water alone - in its extraction process and uses xylitol as a bulking agent.

  • The one guy is right about how quickly the government bans certain things the moment something negative is discovered about them (ex. ephedra)....but aspartame and other artificial sweetners are sticking around despite the claims of it being cancer causing and mentally debilitating.

  • Who is the woman at the very end of the video? She seems interesting.

  • it's shame on these food companies,Now customer has no confidence. And as know in the economy field ,it's all about Confidence, No Confidence=No sale=Recession.

  • We NEED some smart, money hungry lawyers......CLASS ACTION LAW SUITS!!!!!

  • Quitting smoking after 30 years was easier than giving up sugar. All the same me and my husband are making the switch slowly by using Honey and Stevia. Occasionialy succanat for cooking

  • Redrosetoo said "I guess it's up to you to make your own choice."

Yeah, until he/she is diagnosed with cancer and wondering how/why did this happen to me?

  • Eating healthy means going back to basics.

It means buying fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy, grains (ideally, organic) and going back to the days of cooking your meals from scratch. It means trying to eliminate most of the pre-processed "convenience" foods we've come to rely on to save us time.

It's tough. But if you make a commitment to change the way you eat, and the way you buy, you'll be sending the loudest message there is!

That you won't buy, or eat the "frankenfood" anymore.

  • Who said I didn't like convenience foods? They're "convenient", that's their draw! But they aren't healthy, and the safety factor, if any, is just to keep it from spoiling. But the chemical could be having a negative effect on your body.

I'm not interested in endlessly debating with you something that's long been established fact. I'm not coming up with something new here. It's been said before, AND often, AND proved, and backed up with studies. I guess it's up to you to make your own choice.

  • When it comes down to it, im pretty sure my exposure to other chemicals will see me off far sooner than foods will, plus I enjoy them too much to give them up.

But yeah, this debate should probably end here, Im not going to convince anyone cos it is a matter of choice predominantly i guess.

  • Who told you that organic apples contain less vitamin c than non-organic apples? Not sure that that's true, but even if it is...your "normal" apples contain more pesticides than your organic apples, so where's the benefit?

  • Great question! MSG stands for monosodium glutamate and in some circles is even considered a "sixth taste"! It is added to lots of food as "a taste enhancer". Problem is that Dr. John Olney found out that it causes holes in the brains of lab mice, and there are many reports of people getting headaches, feeling sick, light-headed, etc. after consuming the stuff which is why a lot of Chinese restaurants proudly proclaim "no MSG'.

  • What Is MSG ??I see alot of Chinese Resturants That Say No MSG...

  • They are putting aspartame in drinks & food that are not even diet? Check your ingredients! Also, MSG is everywhere under different names...Sweet Remedy is good information, plus the site has links to breaking news - sweetremedy(dot)tv. Stay ahead of the poisoners!!

  • Parents, please look what you give to your children, because you have a choice and they have to relay on your knowledge. Learn how to find these hidden additives in the processed food.

  • I agree that you should take care of your kids' diets, and watch what they eat. But do proper research first. A lot of people will be overwhelmed when they look on the back of foods, but the abundance of ingredients doesnt mean that it is bad; only that it is complex. It is often said that 70% of the body is water but there are thousands of extra chemicals in there - lots made by your own body for your benefit. To build proteins you need amino acids, including glutamic acid - the basis of MSG!

  • Spudpeel, there's a HUGE difference between the so called "chemicals" in your body and what is found in processed foods. You don't NEED "flavor enhancers" (MSG) to make your food taste good. Other preservatives are there to:

    a)make it look better

b)make it "pour" better, or keep it from clumping

    c)thicken it, and

    d)#1-keep it from SPOILING

I've left out a few, but you get the idea. It's just to make the food look and taste pretty. That's ALL.

At the expense of your health.

  • So called chemicals? Tell me you're not saying that there are no chemicals in your body. Im pretty sure you're not but it sounded that way!

I know what preservatives do, and that they are cosmetic really, but if you produced foods without them they wouldnt really sell would they?

  • Sure they would. You've heard of organic haven't you? Soup, bread, crackers, juice, granola bars, oatmeal, cereal, salad dressing, cake mixm and more -- all are already available and ready to buy. You sure don't need artificial preservatives to make it attractive, or tasty. What do you think people ate before we had any such things? We just did more of our own food preparation, from field to table. And the beauty of it is, we still can.

  • Oops, I meant "cake mix".

  • Gonna pop in one last time to say, when all's said and done, if you don't mind eating that stuff, hey, go ahead. You're young. Be your own human experiment. But I, and consumers as a whole should have a choice to decide whether we want that in our foods. I can read a label. But the information has to BE there, you know? GMO or no GMO, preservatives, or no preservatives. That's what "informed choice" is.

  • rumsfeld was responsible for approving aspartame.

  • Join my facebook group - 'I bet I can find 1,000,000 people who hate the FDA'

  • Be happy to join your facebook group -- what is it?

  • Thanks! Its called - 'I bet I can find 1,000,000 people who hate the FDA'

Just type into facebooks search box - FDA and it should come up as a group. Thanks again!

  • Any trust of the government, FDA and what any of them say is out the window for me, not to mention the media.

You guys watch "Codex Alimentarius" yet? The Senate is voting on illgalizing vitamins, herbs and mandating all cows to be shot up with hormones (and more) on Dec 2009

I think they intentionally want us sick so they can profit from controlling our symptoms because they cant cure anything.

Who has the # of the new law mandating vaccines against our will? Its on the table too

  • Very scary...

Perhaps any bills in that direction will be scrapped if you get a new government in. Any delay would be better than nothing, imo...

  • I have seen this before it was placed here.......a lot has been cut out....actually some of the best part has been cut out....like the best quality stevia available in the market today for the public - there is a difference in stevia

  • It is so sick and sad what we are eating and think it is ok. There is a good site that talks a lot about the dangers of food. It is fooddemocracy dot wordpress dot com.

  • ASPARTAME HAS BEEN DUPED ON THE GENERAL

PUBLIC. EVEN AFTER MANY FAILED TESTS AND DISPROVAL BY fda IT SOMEHOW WAS APPROVED. NOW WE ALSO HAVE WAITING IN THE WINGS ANOTHER DISASTER HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP. I NOTICED A YOGURT & SPORTS DRINK THAT CONTAINED SUGAR, HFC SYRUP & ASPARTAME TOGETHER.

  • yes! And it's terrible, because once I was in london and had some fruit shoot from Mcdonald's thinking that" oh it's great McDonalds is giving fruit drinks in london" I turn the bottle around and see "ASPARTAME" WTF?!?! Aspartame! being givin to kids, (it was a happy meal) just like trick or treat! fuckers.

  • "Are you sure???" awesome, we vote for a painful life/death with our dollars everyday ,good point about being addicted to processed sugar at birth, among other things ,spending the remainder of our lives feeding the Fix=D. I'd love to see someone post the Movie on here or Google Video .

  • What is the typical cost to protect your brain?

  • Ah yes people making money about telling people that people are lying to you to make money...

  • How much money do you think they got for making this?

Have you never heard of a documentary? It's often the best way to get a point across....

  • That was to people attacking stuff like aspartame in general if you look around on the net you will see them selling books and bogus test and what not.

Ok i know this is a really cheap shot but i cant help it. The fat guy talking about bad food... If i was him i would worry about getting sick from over eating and not working out enough compared to Aspartame.

  • Ironically, aspartame and other artificial sweeteners make you gain weight. So, yes, this guy SHOULD worry about it.

And I'm not talking about tests and studies but about my own experience. Since I stopped eating sugar I noticed that everytime I eat something containing artificial sweeteners - consciously or by accident - I get a craving for either sweets or food in general and can't seem to stop eating. I avoid it now.

  • Thanks, when is the film going to be available?

  • The DVD is already available. Google "Sweetremedy DVD". It's brilliant!

  • Thought 20 bucks was a bit steep.
