  • When you're on these ultralong Moscow elevators, look across to the people going in the opposite direction; they seem to all be leaning, like thousands of Pisan towers. I used to get a laugh from this as I slowly proceeded up or down...

  • freaken going to heaven or what??..I could never do this one! no way!

  • This escalator start from the centre of earth? I doesn't see the light!! O_O

  • The best place for kisses

  • Sankt Petersburg metro are deepest metro in the world

  • У нас самое лучшее Метро УРАААА

  • I like how they warned about punishing people for illegal ad postings, yet they play commercials through the same metro radio.

If you go to Moscow Metro every day it becomes really annoying.

  • In Saint-Petersburg (it's in Russia too) escalators are much longer in the center of the city because of squishy terrain and deep Neva river. Peter I, Russian imperator, insisted on building city that place. There is stations where you need 5+ minutes to go on ground! Really deep. :)

Sorry for bad english and best regards from Moscow city! ^^

  • @yerminsv Perfect English, don't worry! Thanks for commenting. So those seem to be the longest escalators indeed, cannot be topped I think!

Have a nice weekend (just as we try over here in Berlin)...

  • @yerminsv . Thanks for the information. Your English is fine by the way. Great job!

  • They are so beautiful and CLEAN!!! New York subways are toilets of filth and rats.

  • Saint Petersburg(Russia) metro more deepest then Moscow, coz its going under river, probably Saint Petersburg metro is most deepest metro in the world, but Moscow has 300 square km,crazy:)

  • the ticket price is 28 RUB (0,69 EUR) already!!!

  • Is it Gordon Freeman on the right side on 1.12 ?

I thought you died in stalker

  • Comment removed

  • I would push people and ski down the escalator

  • In Mother Russia escalator ride you !

  • @ararat123457 why do they say that, also in russia manhole cover you)))

  • This looks like hell. I'd rather ride a motorcycle in the snow.

  • in the Kiev Metro is 20 minutes long ekskalator

    пошли в жопу)

  • @Yurec1000000 damn, is it fun there?

  • @Yurec1000000 не надо было салом привод смазывать

  • Moscow Metro is the best Metro

  • There are longer escalators in Moscow. At least 30 seconds longer.

  • Which station is this?

  • This is Petrovsko-Razumovskaya Station situated in the north of the city.

  • big deal, my country have the same thing, except its not moving, cheap ass metro

  • is it sopost to look like a barrel

  • Hey I've been on this, make sure you stay to the right and not on the left side or the Muscovites will push your ass to the side...HA!

  • ))) А ты знаешь что это так и есть. С одной стороны и я так делаю, потому что те кто не знает этого такую пробку на лестнице делают

  • the next day:

" sorry for the inconvience but all of our escalators in the entire moscow transit system is checked for mantinence. sorry to say but , we ensure you to take the stairs or take the elevator. thank you."

  • oh shit, that's a long one

  • that's what she said

  • it seems everywhere in Moscow there is congestion... if it's not cars on the road it's people on the escalators.... The city itself looks beautiful, but the pollution must be terrible....and why such a high presence of police everywhere...?... it seems very intimadating...

  • hahahahaha i love russia and moscow and specially moscow metro , lisboa metro scalators in cais do sodré or teixeira are so long too

  • Imagine what would happen if there is lack of electricity :D

  • they would then walk up stairs :x haha.

  • thats a looong escalator.... it needs to be fast enough not to bore people..

  • Hi and thanks for commenting! As a matter of fact you may indeed get bored riding that long escalator because it is n o t very fast. Only you wouldn't really have a choice, would you. (Even in modern Russia service is not exactly about "spoiling" customers, I think...)

  • Oh, of course they are not fast

    There are reasons for that.

    1) The escalator mechanism lasts longer

    2) Some time needs for the personell to stop the escalator if somebody's fur coat got stuck... (that happens)

    3) They want you to have enough time to listen to the ADVERTISEMENTS! (That's a thing that pisses me off about Moscow Metro)

  • @krapivnik money, money, money...

  • @newsmaniaingaidai In Russia the escalators ride you

  • @newsmaniaingaida In Moscow 40 millions people use metro,u make it more fast problem with catastriofic things

  • Yes, that is what I really hated in Moscowian or Petersburgian underground. Not the length of escalators, but the incredible announcements during the ride on escalators. Usually it contains some points from Public transport rules, security warnings and advertisement. Really, why is it there? Normal person knows, how to behave in underground, there is no need for every ride repetition of basical rules. Golden Prague underground escalator rides - peace and quiet!

  • Who says there are no "abnormal persons" in the subway? There are a lot of them in St. Pete's subway, for instance. I meet them every day :))) Let these announcements teach them manners the more the better.

  • Are you sure? There exists something like soul of the place. When persistently listening to announcements about rules of behaving as a passenger, many times I thought for myself something like: "Why to behave normally, why to be polite, when obviously - according to the announcement - there is a lot of people here that do not behave properly and needs to be lectured at this so intensively?"

  • Why? Because the announcements are soft preventing measures that just warn everybody. If that announcements don't convince anybody, there are cops in the subway as well. :)))

  • Please!! It seems like it's never going to end! watching this I felt my stomach spinning!

Really exciting video, thx a lot for uploading this!! someday, I'll go to Moscow...up to that moment, thx for making me feel I'm there!wow I'm speechless!

  • Shut up, you is a bullshit, chinese gay. I hope you are not russian coz you are completely idiot.

  • Hi I just flew in back from Russia (I live in NZ,Russian by nationality). You're right it is the greatest subway ever. It was a great achievement of hard Stalinist labour (I still hate Stalin though). Also, I'm surprised so many people viewed this video. Moscow is one of the best cities in the world in my opinion. Feels so nice to hear those voice recordings talking in Russian for a change :)

P.S. I got a video about the Moscow Metro as well.

  • hi I have to take the red line from Sokolniki to Sportivnaya as I can do?

can you give me some information?

  • Too bad public transportation here in the States isn't as inexpensive and reliable as the Metro. It's easy to use and gets you almost anywhere you want to go in Moscow. Can't wait to get back to Moscow in 37 days! (I hope Electrozovodskaya station is finally open again). До скорой встречи!

  • haha ill ride this escalator in 44 days xP

  • I remember this escalator from the late 70s! Thanks for posting this.

  • eeegh... Petrovsko-Razumovskaya opened jus\t in 1991

  • The escalator lamps look like oversized versions of the hand-held glow sticks that you get at concerts...

  • That is one long escalator ride.

  • 2.) Dear passengers, we would like to bring it to your attention that on the territory of the moscow metro it is illegal to put up your signs or ads unless done this is done so with an official permit from the Moscow Metro. Violators will be fined and/or sued (although they said it in a really dry manner that would be hard to translate). Please remain vigilant and do not trust suspicious adds as they may contain false information.

  • Thank you! It does seem a helluva lot of talking for not much words!

  • Hey Russo017, many thanks for the professional translation! I'm glad to know at last.

  • That was only like half of it... youtube didn't let me post 4 comments at once... :P and i don't feel like doing it again. I'm surprised how long that took even though i speak russian and english fluently :S

  • @Russo017 Dang! you can help me out with some Russian if I ever need it then :)

  • He)

    Petrovsko-Razumovskaya station, I'm living near it=)

  • Amazing transportation system. I feel a little sick on those never ending escalators though!

  • what was the bloke on the announcer saying?

  • Russian - speaking users: Please help!!

  • О какой помощи ты просишь?;)

  • 1.) Dear passengers, please don't forget your bags on the train. If you see a suspicious bag, report it to the station's police or station authorities.

  • lived there last year, this brings back memories!!

  • Are the escalators faster than the ones in London, someone told me they were but they don't appear much faster...

  • I did not get the impression they were faster, either. (Rather on the contrary.) It is just the trains that are r e a l l y fast.

  • It's because the stations are so far apart I think, since the Soviets built it for the commuters, tourists getting around the central part of Moscow was not of their concern...

  • I saw london-paris metro but the moscow's metro and all the stations are the best. I cant image that there can be better sistem in the world.

  • the deepest station there is 45 meters under

  • 100 meters actually ))

  • Thank you! I have good memories of using the Moscow Metro!

  • i want this for my myspace page! No embedding. Sad, (cries).

  • (Feels extremely flattered. Smiles.)Have it then!

    Em-bed it!! I've re-edited it.

  • How long is that blood escalator?! If one at the top fell backwards everyone would fall like dominos!

  • (Question) My maths and physics are poor!2:31 mins at slow speed from the start to the end!

    (Conditional) You have to trust.

  • Wow, I've never seen anything like this. Thank you for showing it to the world!
