Beautiful music! I just bought this piece today at the music store and I'm sure this will be somewhat useful for learning it. I hope it's not too much out of tune, because if it is, I'm going to learn it wrong!
I like it very much, especially the Allegro starting on the 67th measure; it sounds so much like something Vivaldi would have liked.
This is played on perid instuments ie: in a style as near to that of Telemann's day as possible using knowledge of writings of the day and other research. The usual pitch was one semi-tone lower than it is today. It is not flat; you are sharp!
@animeaff It depends on the sound you are trying to achieve. If you wish to acquire the same sound of the Baroque period, then you have to tune accordingly. However, there are a lot of people that play Baroque pieces in standard tuning as well.
OMG!!! we are gonna audition for our Prism Concert with this song. but the thing is we just got it and we need to know it all by like the 13th lol. and i am the first violinist, but i promise i will not make any mistakes lol. cannot wait to practice it!
does anyone know where i can get a modern tuned version i mwant to play along with it :/ x

The last comment about "being out of tune" gave me a chuckle. That was really cute. Thanks!

Its not out of tune. They are using Baroque tuning.

oooooohhhh lol that would explain it. thanks :)
shortgymnast16 2 years ago
I think it´s C# major in the audio. Half tone down.
waseen71 2 years ago
@HARMONICO101 does tht mean I have to tune like that to all pieces in Baroque??
