@SCORPION5O haha. i know, my friend broke his transmission when changing down without clutch. and i usually change without clutch from 3rd all the way to 6th
Will this work the same way on a 2 stroke? The reason a 4 stroke could feel "jerky" when u let go of the gas to shift is because of the engine brake, a 2 stroke don't have the same engine brake. I don't wanna fuck up my engine
Wow I would have thought its bad for your bike, but when you think about it you're under lots of torque when upshifting anyway and its probably easier to get a perfect shift if you have a constant throttle. About holding throttle wide open to do this, race bikes and full throttle hmmm...Ive never ever had to full throttle a race bike. On my sxf half throttle is enough to wheelie in first few gears.
mate i work on mx bikes evryday and i have never seen a reckd tranny in a mx bike. they are indistructable. i shift full throttle without evn the clutch and its still all good
this wont damage for all the people who say they do but i would let off a little and not have the thing wide open but i have a question i have truble shifting when i stand up and going through the speed bumps and all that cuz i want to hold my speed without have to downshift or bog down
@fastandyc Mate that gearbox would b absoulutly rooted there must b some noises or a small crunch when u change it would not b smooth unless u have a crunch box
wtf??? i your shifting like that it tells that you cant ride fast. and it dosent even damage the bike if your not leting of the gas. i have been racing my ktm 190h and no problems whit clutch or gear box
that messes up the transmission, you have to know exctly when to change gears without using the clutch, I can almost guarentee pretty soon youll need a new tranny...
All this is saying is keep the gas on, then pull in the clutch and shift at the same time then let out the clutch as quick as possible. The reason you do it fast is so you can shift before the RPM's get too high. You should use the clutch as much as possible to keep your bike preforming its best.
You could just get quickshifter, its way better imagine 125cc 2 stroke going 1 2 3 4 5 6 in no time full throtle...

I use this technique to keep momentum up when coming out of a turn going up a hill etc it works very well and is so fun when you get it perfect

@KawasakiRider91 u only got to use the clutch on a 2 stroke to start and stop
snoopy12370 7 months ago
@snoopy12370 yea but i was thinkin about the thing about not letting go of the gas. I don't use clutch while shifting but i do let go off the gas
KawasakiRider91 7 months ago
@snoopy12370 Dont give advice unless you actually know what your talking about
Mx15Mx 5 months ago
@KawasakiRider91 Even better for a 2 stroke because it keeps it in the powerband, it's good for the bike

Hold wide open and do this, not half trottle, thats too slow on most bikes

if i dont get the change intime with the clutch will it stuff up my bike
BillyStevenson1 1 year ago
@BillyStevenson1 if you still have your bike at a high enough rpm it will still just go into the gear without using the clutch

No damage to Clutch ?? Really ? NO !!!
At least when Your Cutches are free and you get one Every Race.
Roll the Throttle Off a 1/4 And Hammer Down. Gives your clutch/Trans a Non Load Moment and is Perfect to Shift at that time.

when i shift i use the clutch fully compressing the lever and let off the gas completely
you can shift at full throttle with no clutch but thats only if you have $1800 for a new tranny
