@gooberpones Yes the ST184 is a FWD, but to tell you FWD will be FWD. You can't get all the fun RWD has but at least they can move. Too much power on a FWD is not too good. you will end up changing axles too much.

@gooberpones they are both same power and torque but only difference is that the GT-S is a wide body compare to the GT. hope i answered your question

@delciid thanks, I don't quite know much about the 2zz motor on your Celica. depend on your horsepower goals.. you can add a turbo on there I believe Greddy has a turbo kit for it. and upgrade your fuel system. make sure you have a professional do the job it will worth it.

But to be honest, what i wanna know is how gearbox and axles react on the higher torque. surely sometimes u need a clutch with either more force to squeeze the disks together or higher values of friction, etc.

but what i wanna know is: what have you done to your drivetrain? or is it ok? even with 50% or 100% more torque? because those are high figures.

i am calling for advice. explanation at your car is welcome, mine is crap and u know yours ;)

that is a very small car, with very little hope from upgrading.

as far as the reaction to the gearbox, it depend of the car and kind of modification done to it.

mine has an aftermarket clutch on it and can handle the abuse. all i can tell u is if you have the money to spend, slap a turbo on it, and I doubted you 'll get a kit for it. will most likely be all custom make.

we have no renault in the States and i don't know much about them.

if you add torque and so horsepower, dont you have to buy a new gearbox and a axle to the wheels that can give firth the new torque?

my car has 46bhp and if i tune it up to 90hp i guess the axles would break. or at least the gearbox. the torque on those small cogwheels. am i right?
