E a música é Nanã, do grande Moacir Santos.
OLHA SÓ:primeiro, quem sao os musicos?, segundo: qual é a musica? 3°:quem filmou a banda e nao pegou o batera? logo o melhor!!!!
...They play a mix of jazz standards and Brazilian standards, a hot and tropical kind of music. And it's far from smooth. It's vigorous, manly and virile, a killer sound. These last words of praise I gave them for free just because the other day, in New York, I was having lunch with Claudio Roditi ( he paid the bill ), and the great Brazilian trumpet player said that this group is "OK" which, in his native language, means OK.
...But they said that I would not have to listen to the music, so I've made a special price for them. ( Usually I get $ 15 , but in this case they've got it for just $ 9.99).Over the phone they tried to decribe their music. Apparently, this quintet from Rio de Janeiro plays in a style we call hard-bop-samba-jazz...
I was astonished when the guys from Companhia Estadual de Jazz came to me and asked if I could write the liner notes for their first CD. I didn't know that a jazz group living in the Third World could afford to pay the fee a world famous jazz critic like myself charges for this kind of work...
This was in June, 2000. I was there , in Montréal. This tune is Nanã, by Moacir Santos. This guy playing the alto sax is Jean-Pierre Zanella, one of the best musicians in Canada. The others are the brazilian guys : Sergio Fayne on piano, Guilherme Vianna on tenor sax, Reinaldo on fretless bass and Chico Pessanha on drums.

That's what I had to say. It's good enough. What do they expect for that kind of money?
