  • 17 bucks gotta be American? UP in my part of the world "the Arm Pit" Nova Scotia we pay 15% tax on everything and retailers mark up is stupidly high. I was watching "shipping wars" the other night and dude needed new trailer so he bought one for like 5k unreal it was a huge trailer fifth wheel type here that would cost you 20,000,00 makes it hard to do anything. Wow I rant and digress I was going to say I was thinking a set of those would be awesome now I am going to have to get some for sure.

  • @bwambolt35 $5K for a trailer like that is a rare bargain where I'm at.... You're practically in Maine where you are. I like the name Nova Scotia, It's fun to say Nova Scotia. Nova ScotiaNova ScotiaNova ScotiaNova ScotiaNova Scotia

  • was thinking about getting a set of these but thought they would be expensive. might invest now

  • Wow... gotta get those, they look SOOO handy

  • Geez that car sure could have had a cleaner engine. Ya gotta take care of them.

  • Brian, thanks a lot for making this video! I picked these up based on your recommendation a few months back.....I use them all the time & they work great.

FYI ---- These are on sale right now @ your local NAPA --- $10.79 SAE / $12.89 METRIC

    Thanks again!

    Daniel

  • @dmcguinn1 They're awesome! You're welcome!

  • those things definatly are a life saver in alot of situations. they work great on brake lines and power steering lines. some times the flarenut wrench itself works, but some times you need to go to the crowsfoot flarenuts. i have a metric set of those from snap on. 8-19mm then a 22mm on the side. cost like 85 bucks for the set then like 25 bucks for the 22mm.

  • Just an FYI. I just purchased the SAE set from my local napa for 10.50!!! Part number 776-0125 The metric kit is 776-1026

  • I picked up a set of the SAE ones last week. They are well made and only $17. I wish I had gotten the metric set while I was there. Thanks for the tip.

  • done deal. there's a napa store two lights over from me and i'm buying a set.

i see you're venturing into other areas now, such as septic systems and water heaters. good deal. i'm always willing to learn something new. thanks for posting ~

  • Pb blaster is all the bomb.

  • Is this a Ron Paul commercial?

  • @stihlthebest Nope. But I will say Ron is Right. He's been right over and over since the early 1980's

  • A must have but can't find 1/4 and metric set!

  • are they in metric as I have a set in sae that I bought 25 years ago from the Mac man

  • @TheFred1952 Yes.

  • Thanks, I've never used a offset socket and wondered how the heck it worked.

  • @TXatheist You're welcome

  • @TXatheist Thanks, I have a set in my tool box, never had an opportunity to use them since I never knew how. Now I do! Thanks again.

  • Napa part SAE # 776-0125 for $17.99 and metric # 776-0126 for $21.49. I went and found this right after you posted this, but never had time to get back and post it. Hope it helps someone.

  • @scottjhicks1 Thanks

  • I got the 10 piece a several years ago for $17. They work AWESOME!

  • @84W150 Nice!

  • I went to NAPA on the weekend and the cheapest (only) crowfoot set was 57$, which is about $59 USD for a set very similar to yours. Princess Auto (similar to Harbour freight in the US), has a 7 wrench set for $16. Quality seems comparable, but an incomplete set would be a concern to many pros. When you can't write the cost off or pass it on to the customer, that difference is significant.

  • @spelunkerd It is.

  • Yo Brian. I love your videos as usual. That car seems to be the same one you did the broken bolt/welding to get it out video. I would love to see some more details on stuff like this, because I'm always working on my friends' broke-ass cars, which are not new by any means. Please bro, PLEASE make more vids of working on old crap like I have to do. Your tips are priceless to me.

  • @beefystik I'll do one today on this 1989 Subaru DL. How's that?

  • @briansmobile1 Perfect!

  • Craftsman Pro used to have a great set of these flare wrench sockets but cheapened the quality a great deal a few years ago. And now those Craftsman are made in China and are worse quality wise but the same price! (IIRC $80 for metric). $22 is a great price for a set of these flare sockets. One thing that I have been looking to buy but can not afford Snap-On (they really make the best flare wrenches and flare sockets) and HF does not carry any of these as well.

  • I used crows foot to replace rear shocks on a BMW convertible, so helpful dem crowz feetz!

  • I got the last set my local Napa had. There was dust on the box. The guy said he had 3 sets on Friday, doesn't even remember the last time he sold a set, and over the course of a weekend he sold 3 sets! You must have quite a few fans in NJ. Thanks for the review! Looking forward to more.

  • @njric71 Ha ha!~ That's awesome. I do have quite a few viewers in NJ. I love seeing this because it's a well made tool that is priced great. They really should sell.

  • hey i have those too brian

  • I have always seen those in tool sets pictures / magazines / online and up until this video had NO clue wtf these things were. Thanks for not only showing them but showing them in action.

The maker should cut you a commission check for sales.

Thanks again for makin the video

  • @pberglin Who knows what the future may bring?

  • @CoolasIce2 That is $22.19 before the discount. NAPA's pricing is very variable, even just miles a part, so check your store. They would not honor my 20% off coupon, for tools, so I used AAA to receive 7% off instead. Also the website says no warranty, but the box says lifetime! But it's only $20.00, if it works once, it's paid for itself! Great tool review!!

  • @epiphaknee OK Thanks. I usually don't go to Napa because I know their prices will be outrageous compared to ADvanced or Autozone, and there are very many Napas around here. Maybe that's why.

  • From your review I assume that the line wrench configuration rather than the straight crow foot is more useful. I guess that means most tricky bolts and sensors will allow you to slide the line wrench on over the top, since they would be less useful (and less strong, and more prone to slipping) in an open end configuration. Do I have that right?

  • this is one of those tools that every time you spend an hour on a 5 minute job and bust your knuckles you swear your gonna break down and buy a set but never get around to doing. I gotta get me some.

  • @AdirondackNY They are made from pure miracles and happiness when doing fuel filters etc.

  • Awesome!

  • sweet I'll have to get me a set

  • How do you like that craftsman ratchet?

  • I'm going to Napa in the morning.

  • @beefystik They're awesome!

  • NAPA stores north of the 49th parallel seem to be a lot more expensive than other tool stores for general tools, though they do carry specialty tools not available elsewhere. I appreciate your input regarding crowfoot wrenches. Auto mechanics seem to really like those, and they often like flare nut wrenches as well. Most of the time I seem to get away with less specialized tools, but after watching this I understand the difference. Good video.

  • @spelunkerd Glad you liked it. Thanks.

  • @briansmobile1 Im gonna post a video soon that Id like you to take a look at and tell me what you think could be wrong with my car!

  • Thanks Brian I am going to buy set. Love your tool review

  • @rtzapper You're welcome. I want to tell the world how awesome they are.

  • Those are definitely durable.

  • I bought a set when I changed a power steering line last year and was thinking, "How am I going to get in there and still have the ability to loosen something?" (no air tools in my shop yet). And then I saw the NAPA crows feet set. The big fight I had been expecting was over so quick, I was almost dissappointed it wasn't more difficult.

  • @ndoorlag They're SO worth having around! I love them. I use them over normal line wrenches any day.

  • The part number is BK 7760126 - $22.19. NAPA is having summer sales of 20% to 25% off too! I'm getting mine this weekend! I had an 18mm flare wrench fail on a power steering hose, so I want to use these instead! I hope we get more tool reviews, but Brian often shares with us the tools he likes with his videos!

  • @epiphaknee I do. I like to say possitive things so I have to really pick and choose what to review.

  • @epiphaknee Thanks for the info. Is that $22.19 before the discount?

  • 52 NAPA srores just sold a set of wrenches, great tool.

  • @Moosepiesandwich Total win/win if they do.

  • Cool I was looking at a set just the other week and came so close to buying them, but then I just thought I just buy every tool that I can afford and wonder if I will ever find a use for them lol, sill I think ahead and some day when my daughter becomes a mechanic then she can have most of my tools as it's take a lot of money when your just starting out, so now dam it I must go buy them :) .

Love your Vids Brian always full of good stuff, all the best your Scottish fan

  • @Cattachmore22 Thanks man! I've been to Scotland too. I liked it better than England and France. Up north was especially fun ; )

  • I love tool reviews!!

  • @TRcustomengineering Thanks for telling me- I'll do some more.

  • Nice
