  • it's cattle training. it's getting people use to constant change so as soon as they put their foot down on solid ground the rug is pulled from beneathe them. i know it sounds odd but people who understand social management tecniques will totally get what im saying. the new system will be ever changing and the generation born into this system will accept it as the new normal. im not just talking about youtube. im talking about every aspect of life. the little changes prepare you for the big ones.

  • I agree totally. You get a "choice" to switch over, but you might as well switch over now and get used to it, because soon you'll have to use he new layout regardless. Every time YouTube changes an existing layout it is for he worse. And yes, the next one will probably be even worse than this new one; and while that seems hard to imagine given this horrible update, it will be true.

  • Best rant I heard all week. And I hate that you have to click on another tab, click on feed & then pick the option to see comments. Who's going to know to do that besides people who really use YouTube? The layout is not user friendly for new people.

    yeah the comment page has been destroyed. it's just a grey block wall now and it all looks jumbled up.

    youtube have no idea that a large majority of people will not be able to figure most of it out.

    i guess youtube is not for the people anymore. it's what they want.

  • The same thing happened to me. I put up with it for 2 days and then I switched it back to the old lay-out. The big issue I had with the new format was that I wasn't able to change the featured video - it did my head in trying to figure out how to do it. By the way, I do like the new Facebook layout.     i think the new facebook timeline layout is a bit different. but not as bad as youtubes layout.

    i could get used to the facebook layout but not youtube.

    hopefully they will change youtube again in 6 months.

    nothing can be as bad as this layout.

  • I have a problem with the NEW youtube. Apparently SUBSCRIBERS are the same as FRIENDS. No no no no no no no. look i have the motto: a subscriber is just a person who wants to know when you upload a video. a friend is. Well is your friend. *sigh* youtube gets worse

  • old one looked way too out of date it looked like an early 00's website, the new one is so much easier to navigate and look for past videos. the old way was a proper grind.

  • Personally I prefer the previous layout then the new one.

    The new one *shudders* it's hidious and too complicated (because I'm a simplefag like that and I want to know where everything is unlike the new one where...just no.)
