It's really fast application switching since nothing really runs in the background, it only pauses the programs.

It doesn't go where u left off because of low ram. It only has 512mb. It may put an icon in recently used apps but it doesn't mean they are running. And the android comment is wrong...on gingerbread and froyo you are limited to 8 recent used apps by home long press but honeycomb and ics activities are not limited til os kills them to keep ram optimized

Well, I know that for Android, you got 8 recent apps maximum for multitasking, and so if you play a game, and hit the home button, it go back home, and you can do something else and you can come back exactly where you left the game by long pressing the home button. Now though, Android limits its multitasking apps to only 8 apps, which means if your recent app that you quit was like the 9th app, and it won't show up in the recent app list by long pressing the home button, then you can't resume to

... where you left the app off, so for iPhone, I know that the multitasking tray is like unlimited, but I have tried out and tap on an app that was used LONG TIME ago on the multitasking tray and it doesn't go to where I left off (example: pause a game and when come back, it doesn't come to where I pause but from the new game - again the game have been quit for a LONG TIME ago but still showed in the multitasking tray) so I wanna know what's the limit of number of apps for multitasking on iOS?

You should install the folder enhance tweak. Unlimited apps in a folder, and they open alot faster and when open look different and nicer.

one shouldn't forget that apple is very much into design, which is also the reason why the number of apps in a folder is limited. otherwise the folder might become to large for the screen or you might have problems of displaying them adequately.

Hi, i was watching your video and it seems like when you are listening to pandora and when you multitask to some other program you can still hear the music. i have the new iphone 4g and i tried several times and anytime i switch from my pandora, the music stops. it seems like it freezes the pandora. i want to listen to my musis while i am surfing on the net or emailing, but i tried and it didnt work, do i need to change something on my phone setting to be able to listen pandora?please tell me.

I just got my iphone 4 and its amazing with ONLY ONE exception... Multitasking... Multitasking only allows my battery to last for a few hours rather than 12 or 24 hours... What im saying is they needed to put a toggle on it so if i dont want it i wont suffer

apple multitasking is an absolute fail! you have to exit the app then close it from the springboad to make it stop running, this frusterates me. I have many times just hit the home button on an app like facebook and it doesnt close down then a couple hours later all my friends are mad at me because i didnt respond, apple fails at multitasking. period

only a few/couple of things do multitask. most are only in pause. multitask will come into play when the devs make the app multitask. the phone itself wont do it. So the phone itself can't handle true multitasking. thank you mr jobs
