Actually from what I read Brainiac Attack got ton of negative reviews.

Despite having SOME of the voice talent of S:TAS, and the same character models, Braniac Attacs is not in-continuity with S:TAS. It was a lame, quick cash grab tie-in with the (also lame) Superman Returns. I mean the writers and producers are those from "The Batman" cartoon... what did you expect? Superman:Doomsday wasn't that much better. Of the recent standalone DC Animated movies the best has one is Wonder Woman.

Doomsday is availible for streaming on Netflix, so I watched it. I didn't really like it, mostly due to the new character designs. Lois Lane looked OK, but Superman's face looked like a rasin, Lex Luthor looked anorexic (as stated in the review), and Mercy Graves looked like a martian. Overall, the story seemed kind of anticlimactic, like a really long episode of Superman: The Animated Series but with weird character designs and different actors.

I'll agree with the Brainiac Attacks review. That movie sucked with a capital "S" and I am usually not that hard on cartoon movies. But Doomsday was a rather good cartoon movie. sure the story was condensed so they could fit the death and return into a 90 min movie, but there are a lot of nods to the comics here that help the movie on. The action is good, the voices are good, and the story works. If you were a true Superman fan, you'd get it.

Nice reviewing. "Grumble and Glorify" sounds like a pretty good show.

Two questions:

1. Where'd you download this?

2. Does Doomsday speak (I loved that moment in JL's "A Better World" where you realize he's intelligent)?

Brianiac attakc i defitly will not bother with.

from what ive seen it was rather lame.

as you have said luthor seems out of charture.

superman doomsday looks fairly interesting allthough i still have my reservations.

these guys were good when they first did the Batman, Superman, and JLA series.

but these direct to video movies are just not the same.

Batman Subzero, Batman Beyond Return of the JOker were good.

but these recent ones just dont seem to be in the same spirit.

from what i kno these movies aren't in the same DC "universe" as they would call it (not part of the DCAU)but the ones u mentioned (Batman Subzero, Batman Beyond Return of the JOker) are, maybe thats y they were good. There more info on wikipedia if u type in DACU

So basically, you're saying I wasted 6 minutes saying nothing about either film. I think I gave good descriptions for both films, and critiqued them enough in a 6 minute span. Nothing personal, but it amazes me that those who complain about my reviews are the ones who aren't doing anything about it other than bitching.
