I have been driving for over 31 years and with muliple tickets and accidents, one near fatal, I learned to stay the hell over in the right lane and stay around the speed limit. Even though I am armed with a .38 it is not worth the aggravation of provoking someone to the point you have to shoot them or at them. When I was younger I did have a huge led foot. Just going a few miles over only means a few minutes. Its not worth my life. Its up to whoever is driving but that is me now.

Hmmm. that looks like a company truck. Most of not all transportation companies now put a speed limit on their trucks. That with the decreased speed limit on trucks compared to cars makes it that much more important to "keep the hammer down". Even if it was not a company truck, the loads that these trucks carry, often times in excess of 45000 lbs makes accelerating even one mile hour a bit difficult.

I can tailgate/draft at about 10 feet safely, when I pay attention my response time is very little. and I really pay attention when I draft, since there's no room for error! I'm able to detect a situation, determine a solution and act in approximately 16 ms. this is approximately 50-60 times faster than normal people.

I can tell you not alot of people can do that. I'm also aware of my surroundings, so if I cannot stop in time I can jump over to the next lane or shoulder to escape a collision.

well there's also FAS- where you glide on neutral with engine off- which in my opinion is even more risky. Drafting can be done safely although probably 99% of the people can't manage that...

I used to draft big trucks in combo with the NICE technique, I'd see a major improvement just from the reduction of wind drag.
