  • The arrogant LDS guy is is basically trying to put Jeff down by saying he hasn't mentioned anything of substance in the presentation. Then, when Jeff asks him a direct question, the LDS guy doesn't know the answer. Got caught, son! Many times the LDS will just say "Those issues have been answered" but they don't know the actual answer.

  • thank you for loving the mormons enough to speak the truth. God is preparing hearts. So glad someone loved me enough to talk to me about the truth.

  • I debate Muslims, pseudo-biblical Unitarians, Arians, universalist and so on but never Mormons, don't know to much about their doctrine only that they believe 3 gods and that we can become gods.

  • @LogosTheos

Much more than that. I will pray for you. God opened my eyes to the truth. Now I feel I must share with others that Jesus is the only way.

  • In order to openly espouse Mormonism and the teachings of Joseph Smith you must look God in the eye and call Him a liar.

There is no 'Apologetic' I have heard from any LDS source that gives room to side-step this.

No matter which Mormon you are talking to you will be directed to ANOTHER Mormon for answers.

I've never heard a Mormon confront the inconsistencies without telling me to "Read and Pray about it" and leave it there.

No direct answers because the BoM can't provide them.

    1 Peter 3:15

  • why would any one even want to be a Mormon besides the fact that they want to become a god what a sad religion howe can anyone believe this garbage

  • What happens when you die? Have you told lies, stolen, used God's name in vain? If yes, then you're a liar, thief, and a blasphemer in the sight of God. When you die & be judged by God, you'll be guilty of sin, & go to Hell! But God sent God His Son Jesus to shed His blood & die on a cross for your sins, He was buried & rose again from the dead on the third day. If you'll believe the Gospel(Jesus's death for your sins, His burial & resurrection)you'll not perish & have everlasting life!

  • Its sad, I was once a part of the brainwashed community as well. I pray for my family that still believes these false doctrines.

  • I was mormon (former-elder) in the Brazil per 7 years but I was I free for Jesus when in a Christian Church I was I received dom from languages, fact that changed my life.

  • I love this video.....great stuff!

  • @leSavaii Do you claim to have fellowship with Jesus?

  • @Shulamitefire...I follow what Jesus told: "...learn of me" Go figure!

  • @leSavaii Apparently you claim to have fellowship with Jesus but believe that we should not talk with Him.

  • The disciples did worship Jesus Matthew 28 "9Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him." If he was not God he would have told them to stop worshiping him and only worship the father. All you have to do is read John 12 and see he is God. Mormons don't have the holy spirit which is why they don't believe he is God.

  • I can't believe anyone would ever be a mormon after all the archeological evidence has been found to be nonsense. Joseph Smith fits the bill for every other cult leader...a new revelation given from God, give me your money and women, and bring Jesus to a dumbed down level. Joseph Smith is rotting in hell.

  • @Nothergods

    EXACTLY

  • We must take Isaiah 43:10 into proper context, the Lord is adressing an idolaterous nation who wordhiped gods formed by their own hands. He is simply saying to them, I am your God, and besides me there is,or will be no other. This is in perfect harmony with LDS belief as we worship only one Father and one Redeemer,Jesus Christ. The fact that other Gods may exist does not diminish God's greatness. That's equivalent to saying my dad is less a father because of other peoples fathers which also exist.

  • @101mythbuster The fact that oinfiltratether gods MAY esixt? Tell me where in Scripture does it state there are other gods? There is no harmony with LDS belief here except in your whorped idea if God. It is clear God is making a statement that there are no other gods but Him. None before and none after Him. All you are doing is trying to inflitrate the clear teaching of God as a singular eternal existant.

  • @figgytwo1 Amen.

  • @101mythbuster Yeah, leave it to a Mormon to take a clear, unambiguous passage and twist it to fit LDS doctrine with this "the god of this world" garbage. Do you people lie awake at night and think of ways to twist Scripture, collapse contexts, and read things into passages that aren't there? The God of the Bible created the universe (Ps. 19:1). He is the Alpha and the Omega. Ironic that you would bring up "context" while ignoring the context of Isaiah, which is of God being Israel's redeemer.

  • @101mythbuster It's also ironic that your user ID is "mythbuster," yet you perpetuate the myth of polytheism. Try reading your own Book of Mormon, where monotheism/the Triune God is taught in various places (2 Nephi 2:14, 31:21) (3 Nephi 11:27) (Alma 11:28-31) (Jacob 4:8-9) (Mormon 7:7, 9:9-11). Don't give me any of this "other Gods" crap when your own Book of Mormon teaches monotheism. TRUE prophets of God DON'T contradict God (Deut. 18:21-22).

  • @101mythbuster

...".The fact that other Gods may exist does not diminish God's greatness. That's equivalent to saying my dad is less a father because of other peoples fathers which also exist."...

How many Fathers do you have?

God claims that He and He alone Fathered/Created you.

God says He created the first 'Man'.

If God is your Father you are a 'Man'.

Therefore no sentient being created by another god would be a 'Man'.

What, in your opinion, are all these other gods creating?

  • ive had mormon missionaries at my door and this guy sounds like those typical mormon responses when asked about biblical question... sad just sad....

  • Durbin sounds like a very nice guy. Alot of what he says sounds like what I would here a Mormon teach.

Concerning the God of this earth idea, I believe that context could enhance our understanding of these verses.

  • Man o man. I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. Why involve yourself in a debate you are not ready for. Fine I do not either have the answers for these questions. But I do not involve myself in These debates. ahh please dude before you come out and represent the church study please dude ..study.

  • @MasterWerx

..."I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. Why involve yourself in a debate you are not ready for."...

    1 Peter 3:15(a)

"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and BE READY ALWAYS to GIVE AN ANSWER to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you"

    I KNOW what I believe.

I KNOW why I believe it.

I will give you straight-forward answers from Scripture.

I will tell you in detail.

    I won't shuffle around.

I won't refer you to anyone else.

  • I Like where Jesus heals the Blind Man & they interrogate Him(the blind man) in the synagogue & kick him out cause he said he didnt know who healed Him, then the bllind guy runs into jesus again & Jesus ask him who he says the son of man is, & the healed blind guy says he doesnt know, who is he that I may believe? Jesus opens his eyes spiritually & says "the blind will be made to see, but those who say we see, there sin remains" so now I ask Mormons just to pray & put the Ball in Gods court

  • Mormaons are a cult that worships Joseph Smith. Do not be fooled! They worship Joseph Smith over and above the Christ. Joseph Smith met with a demon who empowered him with knowledge of the ancient people of the Americas. I know this to be true. Just google Mystery Mountain in Los Lunas, New Mexico. Joseph Smith was a rebellious son who couldn't conform to Christianity. He met a demon and started a cult following.

  • I am LDS.. But I do appreciate this Christian debater. He was very respectful and seemed interested in what the LDS debater had to say. This is rare. Good debate.

  • @freshguy54 I agree. I cant stand radicalist. This guy seemed nice. I just wished that the member of the church was better prepared.

  • @MasterWerx Was is it all ways the members fault that they "aren't prepared." Because they couldn't answer questions most members can't about their own faith? Maybe instant rationalizations or even lies aren't the solution. Perhaps there is a problem with the way the church teaches doctrine? With so much Sunday school, seminary, Gospel Doctrine, etc. There is no excuse for that either. The problem must reside in the fact the church really isn't what it claims to be.

  • We should always speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). What a great example this is!

  • @midkanzan thanks for that scripture.. I needed that!

  • Jesus was worshiped and I could should any Mormon from the New Testament starting after his birth. Let me know!

  • the christian speaker was very interesting. he was really gentle and kind. I liked him.

  • Really hoping 2012 pans out. My outward alms aren't apparent enough and leaders are judging me such.

  • The disciples did not ask Jesus who to pray to. They did ask Him how to pray. If a brother asks me something & I tell him to ask our father, does that mean that I never want him to ask me anything? Of course not! As I stated early on you ought not do violence to the Bible by taking a single verse in isolation & not applying the entire context of Bible interpreting Bible. Christ is much, much, much more beautiful, honorable & mighty than the Mormon church gives Him glory for.

  • We have record that the ruler worshiped Jesus & was not rebuked for it. Why? Because Jesus is not merely man but the Holy God Himself, worthy of as much worship as the Father. Compare this with the N.T. Book of Revelation where the apostle John was on two separate instances rebuked for his worship of an angel or man. Christ is worthy of our prayer communion & petition. He is Advocate, Intercessor, High Priest as Scripture thoroughly testifies throughout. Give Him the glory!

  • I feel sorry that LDS are possessed by the spirit of Mormonism. An LDS this evening told me that we are not to worship Jesus! Astounding! And then we read Smith's demonic discourse & blasphemous blundering in his Follet sermon & see what this god he describes in the LDS Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith has in common with the eternality & supernality of the One True God. And they claim to be the one true church... what a wreck that is.

  • I feel sorry for the guy too. Poor guy didn't know what he believed it wasn't a hard question.

  • @Shulamitefire There are lots of idiots in the Mormon faith that don't know what they are talking about. Just a heads up.

  • @Shulamitefire

There are literally no joke thousands of demons in the mormons church itself...they will even travel from outside the area and particular times of the year.

I was at a mormons house the other day and through there cat...I belive it was Satan himself who was staring me down....something I will never forget and will haunt me as long as I live...thankfully Jesus saves

  • @Shulamitefire Tough way to grow up as well. Cause when your a little mormon kid, before all the mormon doctrine really gets set in, there is a close relationship with Christ. And then "line upon line, precept upon precept", that relationship becomes hijacked, and the mind becomes clouded with mormon confusion and it comes to a point where you feel unworthy of that close relationship that you once had. Latter Day Saint's are really latter day slaves, in spiritual bondage.

  • Because the Book of Mormon is 20-25% plagiarism of the Christian Bible, it is a very weak, watered down "bible," setting forth nothing more than the Holy Bible does except fiction & fabrication. It does not even contain the madness of most major Mormon doctrine. It is a bait book. Doctrine & Covenants is D&C: demonic & cultish. The Book of Abraham is an utter farse book like the Kinderhook Plates. Just the other night an LDS told me that no person is to worship Jesus. Astounding!!!

  • God loves you so much that he sent his son Jesus Christ to die for your sins, he was buried, and he was raised from the dead! Please trust him and be saved from judgment. Its totally free, just put your faith(trust) in that good news and God WILL change your life! Its great to be saved, please think about it. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3 :16

  • And he who does not honor Jesus does not honor the Father for Jesus is the exact expression and infinite impression of the personality, the emotionality, the intentionality, the supernality, and the eternality of the Father. He Is Immanuel, God with us, God manifested in the flesh - no less. Of this the Scriptures throughout testify abundantly.

  • ISAIAH.42:21 "...AND THERE WAS NO GOD BESIDE ME..." (Who is actually speaking? God the Father or God the Son?) "...A JUST GOD AND A SAVIOR; THERE IS NONE BESIDE ME" (Again, Is it God the Father or His Son (Savior) speaking?)

And why do Christians worship Jesus Christ & not the Only God that Jesus worships & prays? Jesus made it crystal clear that only thru His name...if you wanna reach His Father,

Nowhere in the Bible Jesus told His followers to worship & pray to Him, but His Father in heaven

  • Is Christ the uncreated Creator of all creation, that is and was and ever shall be, in every realm of reality and relevance?

    Is John 1:1-3, 14 & Col. 1:16:17 true?

Is Christ our merciful and faithful great high Priest? Is He our Intercessor Who ever lives to make intercession for us, and our Advocate before the Father as the Christian Bible testifies?

So you do not worship Jesus?

    Astounding!

  • AND WHAT WAS CREATED DURING THE CREATION? SPIRITS? OR THE PHYSICAL BODIES? (GENESIS.3:4-5 / JOHN.17:5)

DID CHRIST EVER TELL HIS FOLLOWERS TO PRAY & WORSHIP HIM OR WORSHIP ONLY THE GOD WHO HAPPENS TO BE HIS/OUR HEAVENLY FATHER?...Where in the Holy Bible that Jesus told His followers to pray & to worship Him?

SHULA "So you do not worship Jesus?"

I FOLLOW WHAT JESUS TAUGHT IN THE BIBLE: "After this manner therefore pray ye: OUR FATHER WHICH ART IN HEAVEN.." What a simple concept to follow

  • You did not address even one of my questions. You must discern that one verse you quoted in context to all 27 NT Books. Interpret Scripture (Bible) with Scripture (Bible). I understand that is not a simple concept to grasp & appreciate with a mormonistic mindset. Take care & let us give Jesus the glory due His Name above every name.

  • Like McConkie?

"We worship the Father and him only and no one else. We do not worship the Son and we do not worship the Holy Ghost. (Bruce McConkie, "Our Relationship with the Lord." 2 March 1982).

  • SHULA "So you do not worship Jesus?"

I like Jesus' response to Pilate "Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?"

You see SHULA, there is no single evident in the NT where Jesus advised His followers to worship Him, or even praying to Him but there are biblical evidents in the NT where His followers had constantly witnessed Jesus praying to His God (His Father) the only God that you too should pray to.

Go figure!...so The Truth shall set you free!

  • Christ is our Advocate before the Father and our Intercessor. cf 1 Jn. 2:1, Rom. 8:34. You cannot have clear understanding if you neglect those living truths. Also, bear in mind that Jesus was modeling for His disciples His relationship with the Father while He was on earth. He was not saying that after Pentecost His followers should not pray to Him. C'mon He's God! He's the Amen of Abba Almighty, our Advocate and our Intercessor and our High Priest.

  • SHULA "Christ is our Advocate before the Father and our Intercessor" (WHO EXACTLY SAID & WROTE WHAT YOU'VE JUST STATED?...Certainly not Jesus Christ, but what others wrote & viewed Him)

The funny thing is, Christians don't wanna share Jesus Christ with other God's Children & they do not even understand who Jesus prays & worships. Christians take upon themselves the liberty of worshiping God the Son & completely ignored God the Father.

    Go figure!

  • le Savali: I gave you the Bible record. If you do not believe the Bible, what record do you believe?

My experience of many years as a Christian among Christians is that we worship God extravagantly.

  • SHULA "My experience of many years as a Christian among Christians is that we worship God extravagantly" (WE WORSHIP GOD?...Would that be GOD the FATHER? GOD the SON? or GOD the HOLY GHOST?) Can you clear that up for the YT readers?

BIBLE RECORD?...Are you referring to 1.JOHN.2:1 & ROMAN.8:34? Jesus Christ never said it & any concerned parent could have said these better

    Go figure dude!

  • God, The Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost

    What record do you believe???

For someone who gives such little credence to the Bible, it is difficult to accept your expressed perceptions.

  • Would that everything that has breath give Christ Jesus the glory due His Name above all names with their worship and their prayer, rather than err not knowing the Scriptures nor the glory and power of God.

  • 2 Tim. 3:15-17

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

  • 2.TIMOTHY.3:15-17...Again, Who would you rather follow? Paul?, The Bible? or Jesus Christ?

We understand whats in the Bible & what drives the Bible is Jesus Christ (The Son of God) Christians is still missing the point; if Jesus told His followers to pray & worship Him instead of His Father, then I'll do just that...but there is nowhere in the New Testament that said so...unless you can show me.

Did you listen to Pres.Obama's speech to the students? That's the idea in 2TIM.3:15-17

    Go figure!

  • Jesus said repeatedly "It is written." You are wont to toss the Bible to support your non-Biblical arguments. You should steep your spirit in that which the Spirit of Scripture says so that you may breathe deeply. Selah

That you cannot receive Jesus as our Intercessor and Advocate before the Father worthy of worship and praise and petition is short of spiritual sense. I showed you in the Scripture that He Is Intercessor and that He Is Advocate and that He Is High Priest.

  • SHULA...Jesus said repeatedly "It is written." (WHAT IS WRITTEN?) My 6 year old nephew can even say what you've just said beautifully.

But the fact is; Christians should understand who they should worship. Jesus said "..I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which has sent me"(JOHN) Jesus also said "...My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me. If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself"(JOHN)

    Go figure!

  • Mat. 4:7,10, Mat.11:10, Mat. 21:13, Mat. 26:24,31 to cite only a few of many instances in which Jesus stated "It is written." Jesus said it more beautifully than any created being could ever say it.

  • While [Jesus] spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him... Matthew 9:18

And again, when [God] bringeth in the firstbegotten [Jesus] into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. Hebrews 1:6

And Thomas answered and said unto [Jesus], My Lord and my God. John 20:28

  • MATT.9:18...Shula, did Jesus ask or tell the ruler to worship Him? or it was the decision made by the ruler himself?

Christians can read, but they do not understand & comprehend what they read. BTW, angels (HEB.9:6) are not human beings like Christians

    Go figure!

  • leSavali, does your difficulty trace to your unbelief that Christ is the uncreated Creator of all creation or that Heavenly Father does not have a father? Please do not mormonize with musings about our Maker or bastardize Bible belief with your LDS presuppositions. Remember the Bible came long before Joe Smith was unable to endure sound doctrine and wholesome living.

  • John 5: 22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

  • Smith in D&C 132 foolishly has people becoming angels, in the Mormon imagination that is.

  • MATT.9:18...Did Jesus tell this certain man (ruler) to worship Him? or the ruler himself on his own, desired to worship Jesus?

I know Christians can read, but I don't know whether they understand & comprehend what they read.

Jesus prayed to His only God (God the Father) & He showed us the only way to get to His God & He/Jesus is the only way to His only God...Go figure!

  • You should know that Christ is ever and always infinitely worthy of the total response of every created being in worship unto Him. You fall down before Christ not in giving Him the glory but in refusing to give Him the glory. Selah.

  • Saw your page profile. I noticed your Vid starts out with DNA. That one I dissected for the Anti Christs through litteral inspiration given to me one night.

You wear the armor of Christ. I see it in your words.

  • Nice. handled well.

  • Very nice indeed, I'm LDS. Thank you for this, very simple. I think this should be brought up to the elder's of my church. I will do my part, I will never deny my membership. They will have to kick me out, if they wont clarify to this. I will post whatever response they give to me, anyone else can respond in kind. This is a great work. Thank you

  • Very refreshing comment and heartening. God grant you His supernatural favor and strengthen you, friend.

  • So do you believe Jesus, God the Father, and the Holy Ghost is three separate individuals or or 1 God Only??

  • Listen to the video by Ravi Zacharias:

The Law of Non Contradiction and the Trinity

You might also be interested in the videos on my channel in which he is speaking in the Salt Lake Tabernacle.

  • very nice video! ;) thank you
