  • ~~ this song ALWAYS makes me turn it all the way up and sing as loud as i can

  • awesome song!

  • i remember this song for when i was little it always ment something to me its one of the songs that needs to be played every day

  • this is when music was still good...

  • reminds me of the fray a bit! great song. love his alternative sounding voice.

  • by the way..this wasnt from the 90's. it came out 2007.

  • @spiderbat74 No, he put the video out in 2007, moron

  • @spiderbat74 look at the copyright date...

  • @spiderbat74 doot dee doo

  • @spiderbat74 umm yeah this song was out when i was in junior high and i graduated in 2001!

  • @spiderbat74 Successful troll is successful.

  • @spiderbat74 lol

  • she's more than the label

  • Oh, it's that band, you know, from the late 90s, with the earnest, yet hunky, lead singer with bleached hair and the slightly grungy verse chorus verse structure, who had that one hit about a crazy girl.

No, not The Verve Pipe. The other one.

  • AGREE - todays music lacks - SOUL

  • all that shimmers is due to fade ;0(

  • I have no use for the music of today. I have listened to country for years and it is even changing. I stick mostly to Texas country.

Thank you all for reading my boring post..

  • I agree with the comment that was made about the music of today being crap. I graduated high in 97 and I love all kinds of music. I was blessed with older parents. I grew up to the Temptations,Four Tops,Elvis,Beatles,Fleetwood Mac,Doors, etc. It is kind of funny each generation says that their music is better than the new music. I think it is the music that the culture was immersed in when you reached the age you were leaving home and becoming your own person. Like I said at first,

  • @usmcbamatide dont forget Jimi Hendrix:)

  • yeeeeeeeeeeahhhhhhhhhhhh too far away for me to hold, too far away ahhahhahh!!!!

    win

  • ya know I'm old early 60's from SF I'm Janis Joplin Jefferson Airplane era chick & this roks!

  • this song is the truth no lie

  • Hey Caifa4 - I couldn't have said it better. This younger society has no feel, no compassion or character. It's fucking crumbling before our eyes...

  • Great song...great vid!!! :o)))

  • Song hits me so hard...

  • For some reason, lately, I can't get enough of this song...

  • @yungbukten Been dumped?

  • man this song really hits home

  • watch?v=nLzTBD6mLR8

  • i miss 90s

  • So many memories of playing starcraft and listening to this song

  • Hey its Rob Thomas's bro! lol jk. Good song.

  • :')

  • straight up love this song

  • i miss the 90's. now that was music.

  • Fuck yea, my brothers band, Fistful of Fifties is opening for them at Jaxx in NoVa!!

  • omagosh, the singer is hot! wow, usually front singers these days aren't that hot, but man, he is smokin XD I love this song, i always love the breakdown part, i wait for it, and then i jump continuously hahahaha

  • Big Spring Jam, September 2011: it's gonna rock, because Fuel will be there!!!! Their best song, in my opinion. That means, I must really, really, really like it, because I love every single one of their songs.

  • @lincoln2ish Hell yeah, me too, man. I really hope grunge makes a comeback. I'm not sure it could ever be as great as it was, but it's worth a try.

  • i would give anything for songs to start having real meaning behind them again, this song truly does move me because its not just a song its a story and music today especially this whole metal scene talks so much about hate and violence that even if i could understand what they were saying i wouldnt want to know the story anyway. What happen to real music, What happen to the emotion, What happen to the world :(

  • @GettiBePraised You're just listening to the wrong metal sir! Plenty of metal about real stuff or just simply uplifting music.

  • Scroll up. Your missing the video.

  • you know, this song is truly a good song, like sponge, these guys were destined to be forgotten, overshadowed by the millennium. But at the same I can't escape the hatred I have for these bands bringing about the horrible hell that is/was Creed and further worse, Nickleback...

  • no shit huh....dr ruth here

  • I'm usually pretty cold and unmoved by stuff, but this is beautiful... T T

  • One thing that every 90's music video has is the band playing just like they're a bunch of bad asses.

  • this song reminds me of living inSanDiego in the late 90's,saw them on 4th and B,great show...:)

  • good concert!!!!

  • my old buddy looks just like the lead singer just with brown hair haha

  • I listen to this when I have the runs

  • How is this related to Rammstein?

Oh well, This shit's taking me down memory lane.

  • Lead singer is sooooo sexy

  • Great song. Very emotionally powerful.

  • And yes, . .we are Cherokee.

  • SWEET!!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder what he wrote this about...

  • this song reminds me to much of my ex who left me i can't have her back even though i dream of it and would love to get her back

  • They dont make music like this anymore

  • this song has a pretty deep meaning i think, about a guy dating a kinda messed up girl..and he can't tell that she is..and she's bring him down..well that's my view of the song...the last verse is pretty clear i think..she dreams all the "far out" dreams..and reality escapes her..and that love is for fools that fall behind..love holds you back..and he's somewhere in between..letting all this bring him down..he never really knows a killer from a savior..in the end he has to let her go!!

  • @chaser7798 Apparently it's already dead. I mean, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Puddle of Mudd? Come on, what about Hendrix? Nirvana? Tool? Clapton?

  • My god, alternative nowadays sucks... long live the 90's.

  • this was the last great rock era... and this band went to shit after they got rid of the lead singer from this album... assholes... this is one of the songs... that reminds me of my high school years... when life was simple and the world was new still. When i started to open my eyes to everything because of music like this, like rage against the machine, like all the amazing bands that came during this decade.

  • What the hell did pauliez95 say?..

  • Amazing song...great meaning and the passion in his voice is unbelievable

  • love is the greatest feeling one can have

  • @OsamaBinLowden1 do you know what the song is about?

  • what makes this song so great is everyone can relate it to a situation in their own life...a song so happy, yet so sweetly sad....that is a rare feat...

    <3

  • Have 90's sickness yet? I do.

  • This song reminds me of my relationship with my childhood best friend. We were like sisters growing up, but when we reached high school, everything changed. Because of a difficult family situation, she made some very bad decisions to help escape her pain. But instead of trying to be there for her, I was too wrapped up in my own bullshit. She found someone else to confide in, and when I tried to make things right, it was too late. We haven't talked in 3 years, and I miss her more than anyone.

  • This song hits me really hard. I feel as if he's talking about me, because those are things I have said and done, but on the other hand...it make me think of someone as well. I love it. It bothers me how almost none of my friends seem to know this band or song. <3

  • great song and how could you not like it and if you don't like it why take the time to post about it....move along...this is not the song your looking for!

  • Anyone that dislikes this song is a water head...can't believe there are 164 of you!

  • Now how can it be possible for this to have only a 3 millions views only...WTF, fucking world has gone mad crazy..how can they like fucking gaga and kesha, among other asses who's music suck ass...worlds abut to end

  • @caifa4 That's what I'm saying! I talk about Fuel and this song and all my friends are like...WUT. It makes me so disappointed.

  • @AddictedtoSora they don't know the good taste for good music..

  • @caifa4 AMEN, todays music SUUUUUUCCKKKKSSSS ASS and no I am not old and behind times actually I appreciate music from tribal shit that consists only of sticks, drums, and weird vocal noises all the way up until people started liking gaga, perry, kesha, ect. Has evolution distorted eardrums???

  • @caifa4 well put. very well put.

  • @caifa4 dont for get beiber

  • @caifa4 Shut your mouth. They are top because thats what people like, music is becoming an image more then ever nowadays but we just need to deal with it and not diss everyones music.

  • @llXxNICKxXll

    Exactly!

  • @llXxNICKxXll then wtf r u doing here fagg..go back to gaga and all the other faggs and quit ur crap.....must be a lady gaga like...no suprise

  • @caifa4 because most of the people on youtube are kids that is what i am thinking ! ! ! ! !

  • @caifa4

I'm waiting on the world to end. I hope we hit something hard and it is quick. I don't wanna limp away...

    Whatcha think?

  • I love this tune!!! It reminds me of someone special to me

  • Fav Bands, hope my band has their unique style....

  • @PrettyPrettyPetra are you serious, come on now you have to be a fucking lame to post some shit like that, i have a fucking 9 year old sister who loves this band and stays on you tube, you must be a dumb bitch.

  • Senior year in HS...so many memories. FUEL was awesome...and I followed them into my mid 20s (2004-05) then they broke up/reorganized.....But a great band regardless..

  • LOVE

  • This song is bitter sweet to me, on one hand its a great song and on the other it reminds me of someone I loved and lost and how I would do anything to have her back for just an hour even though it won't happen

  • @pauliez95 same here man, same here

  • @pauliez95 Using song titles isn't clever nor appeaing. And also, your comment is bland, tasteless, and overall rather dumb.

  • @pauliez95 :(

  • @pauliez95 you dont know what you got till its gone

  • @pauliez95 same story here

  • @pauliez95 Anything is possible. Find her on Facebook. You only live once.

  • @naste50 I might before I get deployed, I've been debating it for a while, she deleted me and then was asking a friend of mine if I really went back into the army and all kinds of other questions, I just don't want that shit on my mind when I need to keep a clear head and keep my mind on mission

  • @pauliez95 I only need my ex for 15 minutes. I could never last an hour. (why she left me)

  • @pauliez95 preaching to the choir brotha..... its tough growing older...

  • @pauliez95 Paula abdul's never comin back, just give up. we all miss her.

  • @pauliez95 dude. thats exactly how i feel about this song. its funny to think that a band made a song with none of us in mind, but it just hits hard...............

  • @pauliez95 thats great but how bout we leave are persanol sotrys out and just enjoy the music?

  • @Nesiti7x What you need to understand..is the fact that Connecting to music with personal experience's in the majority of what makes it so good. haha and if you dont care that much, then dont read people's comments.

  • @spiderbat74 your absoloutley right but how about you keep your little life story too yourself and get some counsiling its pretty pathetic to post crap like that over youtube man

  • @Nesiti7x What i dont understand is when that small paragraph became my life story. its quite a bit more pathetic to Respond with something as idiotic as that :P i win.

  • @spiderbat74 whats even more pathetic is to say "you won" oh really? i didnt know there was a contest? connect to the music ya sure great but who pours there heart out over youtube, GET A LIFE tehe

  • @pauliez95 :( im sorry

  • @pauliez95 This comment touched home with me. All we can do is take it one day at a time.

  • havent thought of this song in probably 10-11 years, heard it on the radio completely randomly and remembered how much i loved this song. gotta buy this on itunes.

  • @tornprince22 Everytime I down I think about this song.

  • The from the 90's always will rock...

  • the only time i'll ever wish i was like 40 and not 16. i hate the music of my generation! back in the day everything was good. the rock was good. even the pop was good. and lyrics meant something. now its all about what's catchy? what will reach the top of the charts? what will sound good as a ringtone ugh! y'all had fuel, nirvana, pearl jam, the pixies on the radio and we have lady gaga, lil wayne, justin beiber and beyonce on the radio.

with that being said. good God, i love this song.

  • Be careful what ya wish for my friend. You'll be 40 soon enough. Enjoy bein a teen just a bit longer ;)

  • I remember hearing this song for the first time on the radio back in the day. I was hanging with my cousin and asked if he heard what the name of the song was and who sang it. I remember being so happy to that he heard what it was called, because I never heard it on the radio again.

  • media needs to bring back fuel and other great muscians / songs like this ! It's never to late to enlighten and introduce classical greatness... We are blessed to have grown up with this type of talent !

  • ITS TOO FAR AWAAAAAAAY FOR MEEE TOO HOLD! Best part of this whole song. I love this song so much. Sometimes I tear up listening to it because there's so much emotion in the song. LOVE IT!

  • @jeremy1069fm so, so true

  • I love this song because of my relation too it. the only difference between me and this song is I'll make it happen. i will get him back.

  • reminds me of my girlfriend when i was 17. her and i will never be together again

  • we'll forget the past, but maybe i'm not able....here and now, will we ever be again? cause i have found that all that shimmers in this world is sure to fade, away, again.

  • too far away for me to hold, too far away, oh. she's too far away from me to hold, too far away.

  • why would anybody vote thumbs down? unless they are Justin Beebers fans.

  • makes me feel like tellin the world to fuck off lol!

  • everyone who thinks this is a love song is stupid, its a about how a former couple cant get back together, its sad and deep, not some sappy love pop song, quit calling it that

  • Best of their songs ever!

  • Great song. 1998. I was engaged that year & planning for my wedding.

  • This song does bring back memories. I was born in the mid 80's and am proud to say that I was a 90's child. This song makes me think of how good things were than compared to now, not just music wise.

  • Ah the 90's. The last great era of rock

  • @Eternalseraph

I disagree bro, there's some good stuff left. Don't be like your parents get stuck in a particular era. It happens when ppl get lazy. Keep searching! it's out there. It just takes effort to find :)

  • @McPimpingtonTube that's not really true, the 90's rock era just does not exist today. as in the music is NOT the same. try as desperately and as hard as you want to find similar rock to say, Fuel of the 90's, and it's just not out there. there is stuff that sounds a bit similar that is trying its best to copy the sound but there just aren't the same rock bands around, times change, music changes. name me one band that sounds at all like Fuel of the 90's (or maybe as good as them) ??

  • Comment removed

  • @Eternalseraph

last great era of most genres unfortunately...

  • @Eternalseraph It's funny because every video of every era says that their era is the best.

There is a lot of good music back then, and there's a lot of good music now. You just have to wade through the piles of crap.

  • @JeremyxFisher that may be true, but i sure do miss the 90's

  • @JeremyxFisher theres is nothing good to listen to now...it fucking sucks

  • @Eternalseraph

What's really funny is that the biggest bands of today, were the biggest bands ten years ago. RHCP, Pearl Jam, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters...nothing really innovative or even fresh has gotten big since ~2000. This is probably why hip hop's been bigger since around then. It's a shame. So many different and weird underground bands could potentially shake things up and instigate a new rock movement, but the damn record labels are too greedy to try anything different. What a waste.

  • @Eternalseraph couldnt agree more

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

  • one of the most likeable songs ever made...you just cant help it

  • @brakkabow i smoke hella blunts my nigg. yeeeeee

  • I only experienced the 90's breifly i was born in '99 three weeks before the new millenium, and I was too young to appreciate it. My brother however was old enough to remember it, he was almost nine that year

  • @ThePinkchao

You can appeciate it now. I was born in the 80's but I love music from the 60's and 70's.

  • @brakkabow well you would know fuck face. proper english bitch. you aint no professor hoe so fuck yourself with grammar bullshit. faggot bitch.

  • Brings me back memories when i was 3 and Id say to turn Fuel on.

I loved these guys back then. And I still do.

I am a true Fuel Fan.

  • it just doesn't get old.. :)

    GooD Sh..iT!Q

  • Warm childhood memories :)

  • dang I wish I was a kid again

  • man the 90's were just so fucking happy... right up until 2000 when shit hit the fan and ruined the good vibes everyone had

  • When I get sad I read these comments from people who peaked in high school to make me feel better.

  • @resullivan LMFAO ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

  • @resullivan i agree with u.. now everything sux. things can still be good cuz this is our life, and u have to be happy with u. but man, the 90s just had this vibe about it. i wish i can go back again..even if i were a kid. and sometimes i wish i can be an adult as i am now, back then..

  • fantistic song but the video really doesnt do it credit

  • Not to brag (it's hard to resist), my cousins uncle was their drummer. I never met him but I met his mom lol. Definitley a great band, this is one of my favorites songs of theirs.

  • Timeless song

  • Yeah these were the good years. hell im only 23 but my most memorable times were the 90's life changed so much through those years and i had great music to company me! this was when MTV was still about music hahahaha

  • awesome song... who wouldn't agree with that...if you don't. YOU MUST BE A LOSER.. SO FUCK OFF

  • This song reminds me of that time it came on the radio. I was like, "Cool, I like this song." The song played and then it ended. Another song came on, followed by commercials.
