@hplax20 dude, don't blame them...pop music is always gonna be more popular than this stuff, cuz it's POPULAR. as much as I agree with u, it makes perfect sense. vocal acts that appeal to the masses sell better than a pretty damn near virtuoso guitar player from freaking AUSTRALIA. It's not all bad, and I wouldn't say they're not talented...but u gotta accept that blues and jazz aren't as popular as they used to be. thankfully we have guys like john mayer to bring it into the mainstream a bit.

@hplax20 it's sad, but that's where music is going...idk if u know this, but around the 40s and 50s, there was a huge transition in jazz music where some guys decided to go electric (ie keyboards, fender basses, etc) and there was basically conflict between those who wanted electric instrumentation and those who didn't. The good thing is that even today there's acoustic jazz guys. So hopefully guys like Joe r always gonna be around because people like us r always gonna wanna listen to him.
