Here's an easy Way to defeat Tales Characters: 1. Make sure you are fighting with the Title: "Paladin", (Immune to Staggering) and 2. Make Sure You know your Finisher move. Preferably try using Magic Knight by pounding them with "Shining Bind".

Finish the quest "Touchstone" at Ailily then go to Doplund and find the quest: Fencer Sword, Fencer Armor, Fencer Helm, Fencer Gloves, Fencer Greaves, and Fencer Shield. That's only for Swordsman class.
