@beckersteen21 if you want to have a split screen effect, you would stack the clips on top of each other so one video is on the track above another one and add the "crop" effect to the top clip. Then use the "crop" effect to crop away a side so that you create some space to see the clip underneath. If you want to show the two clips more to the sides that how they have been shot then use the "Motion" effect control to move the X position less for left move or more for right move. :)

Hey, i have followed the steps and it plays back beautifully in Premier Pro itself but after i export the footage is really, REALLY jumpy. Iv'e never had this problem before in any other program while using slow motion. It can't be my camera too because it was filmed at a 10,000 shutter speed on a sony DCR-VX1000. Do you know why this is happening? Thanks.

If you want to save yourself 8 min 7 seconds, just right click on your video time line, and choose "speed/duration".

@haramjada007 some audio from MPEG files doesn't come in. You would probably be best to find an MPEG converter to get a file format that will import to PPro. Some of the DTS audio formats don't like PPro. Dolby usually works, but it's not such an easy thing to know. :)

@nachsk81 If you want to know how to export the video there are other tutorials out there to help you. If you have the timeline (sequence panel) selected go to File>Export>Media... (CS4/CS5) - follow the presets interface settings. CS3 and earlier versions have a slightly different process.

hey i need help please. i have xacti CG10 HD camera, premiere pro cs3 (just got it). Im tryin to figure out why when i upload vid (mp4 format) its lagging, voice synch way off, and choppy. I believe its all about settings but i dont know how to properly set the two. Can u help me...P.s. i have a fast Pc...core duo, intel proc.,500GB hard drive,4Gb memory so it has to be some kind of setting( frames,height ,weight,etc.)

@diamondkavemedia CS3 are you sure the sequence settings match the clips you are using? And then on export the Audio rate should match too. So 48K audio needs to match on export, if you go to 44.1K it can move out of sync. Is it all in sync when you watch back the edit?

@aJBprods He means that the visuals should be slowed down but the audio kept at the same speed, sorta like an intro video for some documentaries that you see when theres a slo-mo with regular speed talking. I hope this is what he means =).

@henkelful If you want to slow mo just the end of a clip then cut the end section off from where you want the slowmo to start and just change the speed/duration to what you want it to be. The end of the clip you cut will remain slow until you cut it into another piece and change the speed/duration setting.

Set some key frames up, at the start of the clip you would put a key frame and change the clip to the fastest speed you want it, and at the end of the clip you would put another key frame and change the speed to the slowest speed you want it. This would mean the clip starts out playing fast, and gets progressivly slower until the end (or wherever you put the key frame)

How i do slow motion in just a part of the movie, not the entire clip or movie?

if you cut the clip into three parts so there is a start for normal speed and a middle to play slow and an end for normal speed again you decide where the slow motion section (section 2) starts and ends by cutting it with the razor tool. Move the playhead (CTI) to the frame you want to start at and then use the razor tool and cut at the CTI it should snap to that frame for accuracy (make sure the snap function is switched on S-key switches it). do the same for end frame.

In Sony Vegas, your 8 minutes of explanation is replaced by 8 seconds of holding Ctrl while dragging the clip. Adobe definitely bit of more than it can chew when making Premiere.

Please help! i have a question. I've imported video's into adobe premier pro, it's super digital looking with the little squares, it's fine at the size it is. but if you increase the size to 400% it's extremely blurry and 400% is not even the size of a tv screen. so when I'm done editing and I try to burn this onto a dvd will it look like this? or does it just look like this in the program? and what can i do about it? I took the video from a camera that takes mini-dvds then converted it to WMV.

100% is what the TV will be looking at. 400% is going to look terrible no matter what video you are using. DVD will blow up the 100% version of it better than a manual zoom. Do a DVD test. If you need to zoom your material to 400% in order for it to fit to a DV sequence frame size then you are stuck. The frame size of the original should be around 720x480 (NTSC DV) or 720x576 (PAL)

let me tell you the method.

you must have green(or blue) screen(or cloth) to make it your background. Once you have shoot with green screen as your background, it could be easily removed in adobe premiere or after effects. And then you can have any background in place of it !
