I'd start out with Ken/Ryu low roundhouse->fireball to get a feel.
If you've already made progress, when using the same button for the normal attack and the cancelling special, try the "negative edge" technique. Press the button for the normal and release the button to do the special. All specials and supers in SF can be executed with button releases (negative edge) as well as presses.
Some advanced players double up all their presses to increase their chances of execution (w/joystick).

This game looks bad ass. I grew up in the time where street fighter was big in the arcade. All 2d fighters are the best fighting games IMO. Street Fighter, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat, all classics. The fact they are making SF4 2D with 3D graphics is awesome. This game will definately sell bigtime to all the people who used to play it in the arcade back in the day. If only the original Mortal Kombat came out with 2D fighting and 3d graphics.

Gear X series, BlazBlue, and King of Fighters XI and XII would be nice, with all SF characters from 1,2,3, EX, and alpha, instead of strictly focusing on sf2. no. its still essentially a 2d fighter its just cell shaded which means definitons are more vivid so it plays kinda like the original in that sense. its a shame just cuz it looks different, some people are afraid to accept a change though. why make it look exactly like guilty gear and KoF or alpha 3 if everyones played it and has it already if weve evolved to the next gen?

Shit this game better be for Wii because Nintendo was the first console ever to release a SF game. SF II. Then SF II Turbo, and finally Super SF II. Yeah Sega came along somewhere. I believed they released Champion edition, but where are they now. Sonic got OWNED by Nintendo. Literally.
