1977 Datsun 510 Commercial

Has anyone bought this Datsun car before.

Ever notice how most commercials today don't have jingles? The jingle in this ad sounds as out of date as the car is.

I remember Datsun (before they were Nissans) and the 510 was probably not a terrible car. Datsuns had a reputation of being cheap and reliable, a great value for money, but also rustboxes here in the snow belt. When I see this commercial, probably shot somewhere in California, all I can think of is it must have been hot in those tin cans (not many had a/c!)

i personally own a 1978 Datsun HL-510 im glad to own one cause i never see it. better than seeing all these riced out PL510s with typical SR20 swaps. get original or dont bother at all.
