I work for Starbucks as a little part time job and got one the other day, the Lady argued with me till I brought out the email. Also prices very from State to state and some times City to City.

about a year ago at the beginning of summer, Starbucks gave all the employees an online coupon (via email) to forward to their families and friends. Of course this got out of hand. Starbucks managers were told to accept them only with proper judgement.

You don't even need a coupon to get free drinks, just wait where they give the drinks for a few minutes when it's busy and ask if they forgot your order, then just tell them what it was

A woman in NYC was going to sue starbucks cause they did not honor the coupon. I got them too at my work and people tryed to get frapps or any other drink I made it clear it was only iced coffee. man did people get bad attudes. when i told the truth and we also got the note

Yes it is sad, this is why I drink tea mostly and because I keep my caffeine sensitivity higher then most people, doing this makes coffee seem like red bull to me (for when i really need to be awake). So I guess you could say that I use my caffeine wisely. ^_^

I work at Starbucks, and I can explain the whole thing. What happened was this special "coupon" was sent to a select number of partners(employees) and they were instructed to share it with their immediate friends/family. However, it got out of control and spread like wildfire and people were not only modifying it to include mochas,lattes,and the like, but they were sending it to their whole address books. Starbucks' only choice was to make every printed coupon unacceptable.

I got that email too and used it once. Went back the next day with another printout of the email and they said they weren't honoring it anymore. Mannnn, that bummed me out. I was gonna get free iced mochas all month. Oh well. I love that Starbucks.
