Well, this song was recorded shortly after 9/11 and is the first song on the album, so some people have speculated such... Also, it does have lyrics like "open up your eyes," "give me strength," and "in confusion confidence" to go along with the title "Politik." Many others disagree and Coldplay, I believe, hasn't commented one way or another. :o)
