@xavier5harris Levithian, you might not be able to see him, but if you don't. Just check out your map in your quest log (Not the world one, the detailed one.) You'll see two doors (At least I did) swim in that direction and you'll see the fish/the rock where the next door is.

okay so I've been in the astral area for a while and other than using the dragon mod I can't fathom a legit way to get to the floating island with the astral caps. my version is the latest as of Feb 21 2011.

For people who don't have Ice Walk, Wings of the Angel is another excellent Midas spell that will let you cover large distances in the air.

2. Q: I went through the portal by the crossword but now where do I go?

A: You must use the spell Midas Ice walk, or Midas magic carpet to reach the floating island you can see in the distance.

You can also use the force push spell to get an extra jump per cast. If you cast it downward in midair you actually land on the spell and can walk on it, use the short time it lasts to jump and cast it again.

@TheFozze look for the astral caps in the first area where you can see the floating island. They should be around the edge by some rocks.(astral caps are Mushrooms if you dont already know)

i have two questions. first, there were two mods i noticed at 1:40, first the music and then the the health indicator below the the weapons icon. could you please tell me what mods are those and where to get them? i would really appreciate it. second, do you have 2 put in every crossword answer into the typing block to open the astral gate? or just one? anyways thx for this video it is really helpful and i hope you make more mod walkthroughs!

@Spartan6496 Every answer you type into the block takes you to a different astral plane. It will only work if you have already opened the main gate from the other side.

As for the health indicator, I have no idea where i got that mod, or what its called.

the music is something I added myself. You can add any music file you want to Oblivion as long as it is an mp3. Instructions on how to do this can be found on tesnexus.com, as well as many more mods you might find interesting.

@TheTrueUSPatriot whoops, didn't know that lol! I ended up using the vampirism bat flying spell thing from one of the vampire overhaul mods. Another easy way for anyone having problems getting over is to just go into "noclip" mode. Bring up the console and type in tcl and can just walk across to it.

@Mincho1994 Press the activate(middle button) after you spell out a word, and the gate for that specific word will open(as shown in the video). I don't think there is a special order. Do whatever realm you want in any order.

@clintmich Hmm that's weird... Whenever i type in something the gate doesn't open. I have activated the big crystal by finding the small ones, placing them, playing the melody etc. It turned white and i think that i've activated it... have i? D: Every time i press that little thing on the right there it tells me to activate the big crystal first and plays some sheep noises ._.

@Mincho1994 If you went through the small portal in the room beside the crossword puzzle, and found all the crystals, and played the melody in correct succession, You should have been awarded a new spell which will be in your spell inventory. Once this is done, the Main Astral gate should work by keying in the correct answers to the crossword puzzle and pressing the middle button on the console. If this procedure does NOT work, then I have no clue to what your problem is.

It's deeper in the Astral Realm, first you have to get 5 of those small crystals, and after that there should be a big gate straight ahead of you as soon as you enter the door blocked by the ice you had to open. If memory serves, thats where it is. If not then I'll have to retrace my steps lol.

go through the little portal beside crossword puzzle. you will see 5 more portals when you enter. these do not work yet. There is a doorway floating way off in the distance in a rock.. Use Midas Magic Carpet to get there, or ice walk. open the rock with an unlock spell. then go in. the crystals are in there.

you dont fill in the crossword with the answers. you spell out the answers on the panel beside the astral gate. Be sure to open the astral gate first from the other side using the small portal. Hope this helps.
