Answering a few questions:

That's not a timer at the bottom of the screen. It's hexadecimals, probably memory addresses or something like that. Since all scenarios look different, the game probably takes it's time to keep managing memory. You probably couldn't, for example, skip a room, because it just wouldn't be on the memory yet.

Also, it's not a fake, etc. Check assemblergames*dot*com and look for the GBC Resident Evil Fund Raising thread.

The game boy had the same graphics engine as the NES and it was portable. Making that smooth from a 3d game to a 2d one well keeping the same layout and feel was an impressive programming feat. It's surprising what you can acomplish with an simple 8 bit graphics engine.

Well Wesker was never a good guy; in the first one he drew STARS into the mansion to get combat date for the BOWs. :) He was never good.. you'll have to play through all of them to get it..

There is only some important parts of the oringnal,maybe because it LOOKS LIKE 3d(Infact,I think it's 2d with some shitty graphics and...if you learned about 3d modelling and you will know how they do it.) so if they add more details,maybe the GBC PROCESSOR will not power engugh to run it.(Or needs some mod for it,like 3d graphics mod,put it on the game and run it will be faster.)

This reminds me of a wierd cross between King's Quest and Doom. This actually looks pretty nifty. Furthermore, I'm suprised they could even do that on a GBC. Usually, PSX games that were ported onto GBC failed horribly. Oddworld failed, GEX 2 failed, to name a couple. They were pretty boring, and if I remember correctly, they had virtually no sound. There's only so much you can do with a Gameboy engine, I suppose.
