This may sound callous, but. If (say)3000 people die, and you go to war, where more than 3000 people die (not to mention however many civilians of your enemy), haven't you lost already?
What I mean is, 9/11 was a horrible murdering of thousands. But how many American (and UK/Aussie etc) troops + Iraqi civilians have died post hand? Do the numbers add up?
if Saddam hussien was the problem the US had many chances to take him out, i dont understand in moving an entire army just to kill 1 man that can killed by LGB good luck
Watch the movie to see the eyewitness accounts of the highly respected people hired by Bush to stabilize Iraq. This movie proves that the Bush administration intended on creating chaos in order to create a population who would have no choice but to defend themselves and then be called "insurgents." This is called genocide. The U.S. first took out Iraq elected leader in early 1900's, Sadam was installed. He stopped following orders. Dessert Storm stopped short to give 'em another try.
I watched it and echoes the same sentiment on other well made documentaries that aren't sloppy like a Michael Moore film. I'd recommend watching FRONTLINE's BUSH'S WAR 2 part series and you many of the people that didn't want to be in this movie. I'd also recommend watching BBC's DAYLIGHT ROBBERY, which chronicles the wasteful spending and fleecing taking place.
This movie made me so angry I couldn't sleep...this administration will go down as the worst administration ever in our history. It makes me so sad to see the direction this country is heading. We need to wake up.
Hey how about making a Movie about Nazi Germany's invasion of europe in WW2, not saying it was a war crime or how wrong the war was, but instead making a sob story about how the poor SS Panzer division did not have adequate support from Hitler (with sad Oliver Stone 'Platoon' music so people weep for the poor invading soldiers that are killing local civilians)
Are you comparing the vicious dictatorship of Saddam Hussein to the democratically elected government of France? Getting rid of Saddam Hussein was not the crime. Allowing Iraq to fall into chaos, failing to protect the priceless human treasures at the Iraqi National Museum, and abandoning the country to the control of radicals like al-Sadr are the crimes.
People were cheering the Americans on when they kicked Saddam out of power. I've talked to people who were there. It wasn't until the US did nothing about the looting, but proceeded to disband without pay their 500,000 man army and remove permanently from office every civil servant in the country that the insurgency began. Educate yourself instead of pushing YOUR ideology.
There a great many that are in that denial stage and it's frustrating to see so many cling to absurd notion that we did this with noble intent and it's keeping us safe.
The wars in the Middle East are for control of oil. This is just one part of the "elites" goals of "pushing forward" with their plans of control. Another is by attacking the protections of our Constitution and Bill of Rights; the NAU, SPP, NAFTA are all part of their plan for control of commerce/wealth. Find out how your elected officials voted on the immigration bill S. 1639 this will give insight into what vein they will continue in if allowed to stay in power.
Are you a republican or a democrat? I want to figure out why some democrats believe that capitalism is a huge failure when what we have now is a fascist dictatorship.
"Why do people have to be republican or democrat why can't we just be Americans?"
Well anytime America wants to be known as a member of *the rest of the world* i.e.; a co-operative participant of the international community, you let me know.
I'm hoping Senator Obama does, because the nationalistic superiority complex is now bordering on that of British imperialism. Frankly, I'm not sure the world can endure another empire, with the type of devastating weaponry we have now.
Yeah, 'my' ignorance. Open up your eyes,if you believe what the news media tells you, you're an idiot. And what 'innocent' people are your referring to?
Ok, first of all, when did I EVER say I supported the war or anything about Republicans? I merely made the claim that the mainstream media is biased and uninformative. All of a sudden you're calling me ignorant and talking about innocent people dying. I want to see the movie, I don't like President Bush (I'm voting for Ron Paul), and I think that a lot of horrible things are happening to the Iraqi people that is morally despondent. Please don't put words in my mouth.

I hope you know how many Iraqi people died to satisfy your idealogy. If you want to live in denial, sad for you.
