now that i think about it this game is very close to monster hunter! yes its instance based you go to a certain area - kill boss - get loot for crafteing weapon/equipments you've got a main town just like in mh so for me its monsterhunter with pvp! which is totally awesome! and its free

Source is amazing. Honestly, the game using the Source engine had a decisive factor in me wanting to try it. Source engine = guaranteed gorgeous graphics and great optimization even for low end pc's.

Also, i have 2 Early Access Open Beta keys for people that want them.

seriously though, in an E3 interview they state that its based on the source engine. They use the source engine and they MODified it to get this game. If thats not a mod then I don't know what is. Enjoy your remake

Using an engine doesn't automatically classify a game as a mod. It'd be a mod if they had taken a Source game like, say, Counter-Strike: Source and built Vindictus off of that. This game isn't based on any other (from what I know), so it's not a mod.
