  • Is this in a movie?

  • @kingoliver45

Yeah I do like Bill Kenny, I think Hoppy died from a brain haemorrage?

  • @mattharrington1000 Yes indeed in the arms of Bill Kenny at the Cafe Zanzibar in New York!

  • Deek Watson sickens me! Like the rest of them though, shame Hoppy Jones died so young!

  • @mattharrington1000 Amen! Apparently Bill Kenny punched Deek in the mouth one time for doing that shit! Bill was such a classy guy and to see Deek right beside him doing that is pretty gross. I think Hoppy had a drinking problem which probably contributed to his young death. R.I.P

  • I'm a teenager and I love this kind of Music.

  • 1:19 oh snap

  • For this film they recorded 4 tracks including "Java Jive" and "Someone Rocking My Dreamboat" but was never filmed. Universal Studio pay them $ 20,000 for nine days work, not the $ 150,000 that DEEK WATSON wrote in his book. If they got this gig thru The Gale Agency then they most likely have gotten only a $ 1,000. The line-up in this film is from left to right : DEEK WATSON, BILL KENNY, ORVILLE 'HOPPY ' JONES and CHARLIE FUQUA.

  • @pbrgma1 Yes indeed. Deeks book is jam packed with false facts and stories. The remaining tracks from this film that were not used are available on my page.

    -Austin Casey (Kingoliver45)

  • @pbrgma1 Deek was probably thinking of the hundreds of thousands they got for their tour of England.

  • 42 years old and LOVE the Ink Spots .....That tempo, i could sit on the beach listening to this all day.

  • 1:19 is the best moment, haha. Crazy guy on left

  • lol'd hard at 02:14

  • who the fuck dislike this amazing stuff?

  • Wow - try putting the transcribe audio on, very comical!

  • The guy on the left looks as high as I am!

  • That one Ink Spot on the left just cracks me up.

  • Bill Cosby.. is that you?

  • Anyone no where to find their music that isnt remastered or the re-recorded.

  • @yeroc500 Yep. It's called vinyl records.

  • i love 1:39

  • @BlacknesUnforgivable stop trying to put black people higher than everyone else, you'll become a mini nazi, we were all born from people who practises human sacrifice etc, I'm 3/4 s English and the rest is mostly welsh with a bit of Czech and scandanavian, they were all bad people at some point just as Africa always has been from it's ancient empires to the brutal modern conflicts, true we've had more wars than anywhere else but that's because were human not because were white. You are now bein

  • @BlacknessUnforgivable true we haven't been the best of people but I don't consider running around Africa with a stick much more civilised, it's a human fault not a White fault, good thing we have music to compensate

  • @stepharnos Oh believe me they are doing alot less harm "running around Africa with a stick" than the Caucasian race does destroying different cultures and people in general.

  • @stepharnos Music stolen from black people, lol.

  • @mymarkis666 arguable, music is a great thing enjoyed by humanity, isn't it better that it spreads? jazz was created by merging african music with western hymns and instruments, can't we just agree that it made something beautiful?

  • They look so young! :D

  • the guy on the left scares me o.o

  • @feliixx I hate it when my little brother uses my youtube account

  • the guys on the left face when he's dancing is classic!

  • 2 people worry

  • thanks to the ink spots now i can understand what my grandma means while she is saying " things were good back then, pure and innocent "

  • Did anyone else play a cello like a double bass?

  • Love the InkSpots!!! This is real music right here!!!

  • If this doesn't give you goosebumps, you should call your dermatologist.

  • If this doesn't give you goose pimples, you should call her dermatologist.

  • the name "Ink Spots" would be considered terribly un PFC and insulting by today's standards, but in their day, it was the norm. They proved that racism is indeed idiocy

  • lol 1:39

  • Next time someone puts me in a situation where I find myself not caring.. I'm gonna say "Dude, I don't give a bag of beans.."

  • Ever since playing Fallout 3, I've become a fan of Ink Spots :D

  • Such music... Thank you so much for uploading this. Each one is precious. :)

  • who are you to call whites uncivilized? there are uncivilized people from every race but it doesnt make your race uncivilized. Do people like Idi Amin cause people to consider the black race uncivilized? no. by the way Justin Bieber is Canadian, he doesnt count

  • The guy on the left...I dont know what he is smoking, but it must be mighty good stuff!

  • beautiful music by talented musicians.

  • This clip of the REAL Inkspots is a real treasure and a delight to see and hear........ THANKYOU for sharing.

  • is this gospel?

  • @autr727 No. It's not gospel. This was the R & B/Pop music of the 1940's

  • This is one of my favorite groups ever. The ink spots are amazing. I may not be 'old fashioned', but I have a feeling that I'd get along just fine in WWII era society. So much classier, and hard working than we are today.

  • @StephenNTrotta i'd agree with you but i'm black...:(

ah well i guess i could always join the ink spots. :)

  • @StephenNTrotta i feel the same way :/. people seem so much layed back back then than they do know.

  • @StephenNTrotta It was better days for sure, wish i had been alive back then!!!

  • I'll have what that guy's smoking.

  • Okay, Lady GaGa is a stunning singer. She never used to be a guy.

    I love old music.

If you listen to some of Lady GaGa's piano work it's almost as good.

  • @Skye033 Ha, that's laughable. Do you know how HARD jazz piano is? It requires utmost skill, imagination and style. Plus, these people had to be on time: Nowadays all all done in a studio by a machine in three minutes.

As Traffic said, "Waiting for Christmas made in Japan".

  • @SwingStu

    ugugugugugugu.

I'm just trying to make people appreciate her a bit more. She's not just another pop singer and she has a lot of talent. Try listing to her acoustic stuff.

  • @Skye033 mmmm i dont think so

  • @Skye033 good yes anything special ? ... not quite ... she just borrowed from madona /queen and others and she is kind of a resell ... sure she sings good but i dont know :D i think she is enough in the spotlight to take some heat for lack of originality...

Ps wearing strange stuff does not make you original .. just silly

  • @Akirilus

Her talent though, her voice. It's not just some auto tuned shit. She really is talented as a singer.

I just don't under stand how someone can call them self's a music lover with out appreciating old and new music, and this goes both ways.

  • 1st of all .. i think that musicians that over use auto tune are crap , i think it should be outlawed because as it has been stated before '' it sounds like a dieing robot''

Second ... so what .. she is a singer it would be stupid to claim you are a singer and not be able to sing .. it is expected from her to perform as well live as on cd.... so

Does she have talent ? .. yea .. should i break down into tears? .. no ... is she something special that comes once in 100 years... heck no.

  • @Akirilus

You could say the same for The Ink Spots (not that I would).

It's fine if you don't like her. You can say you don't like something without bashing it is all I want to make clear.

Also, because you think she used to be a man isn't a reason to not like them.

(Not directing this at you but at youtube in general...).

  • Black Eyed Peas of the nineteen forties? ...only these guys have talent.

  • This one takes tears from my eyes. Check the Derrick Harriott's rocksteady version, it's piece of gold!

  • ahhh.... the oldies

the age when black men wore respectable clothing, didnt use profanity, learned american arts, and actually produced good music

  • @redshark618 Learned american arts? Blacks are the progenitors of many of those so called "american arts"

and too bad we cant pick out a point in time in history when whites have been civilized lol

  • @BlacknesUnforgivable Hey how about givign whites some cred? We had the Beatles! Anyway, whites do provide microphones, lights, and other stuffs or these guys would not of ever been noticed. Team effort.

  • @calimar28 You mean noticed by whites?

  • @BlacknesUnforgivable It's clear that you're wrong, please stop. Can't you just STFU and let everyone enjoy the music? Nobody came here looking for a fight but you.

  • @redshark618 hey but atleast you whites still have justin bieber lol

  • FIVE stars!!!!

  • the guy on the left has THE BEST DANCE MOVES EVA!

  • @toguiter9 hilarious!

  • @toguiter9 hahahahahahhahaahhaaa :)

  • This is amazing, thanks a lot Fallout for showing me such great band and music.

Exactly the case when games are worth something more than just entertainment.

I believe today, this would top all charts...

  • never realized how badass the ink spots really are.

  • What's up with the one on the left? He high er something?

  • @R0ck911 No, he's playing the stereotype that was comfortable for a white, 1940s club audience to see.

  • I'm 16 and this music kicks ass (Ink Spots, Bing Crosby, Andrews Sisters, Mills Brothers, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Al Jolson, Hank Williams, Bob Crosby, Glenn Miller, Danny Kaye, Billie Holiday, Bobby Darin, Louis Armstrong, Kay Kyser, Fred Astaire, Benny Goodman, etc. all on my iPod). So much better than that shit called music nowadays,

  • @BowlSheetFilms Yay, you included Bob! Well done, sir!

  • i couldn't help to notice the massive cock of the guy that is singing

  • @SirRoggo Holy shit. If that is his cock, he's hung like a fucking horse.

  • Ah, a more elegant and sophisticated time. I wish i had been around then. The '80s were politically good, but not as musically inclined. There was some classic artists' out though.

  • I do love this group but they do repeat a lot in their songs, thematically :/

  • back when 'do i give a bag of beans' was a really cutting insult D:

  • what a great video in all respects. thank you soooooooo very much over and over again tom d brick,nj

  • I love the singer on the far left. His dancing is great.

  • 1:37 ! yes thats the feeling

  • im 12 I HATE chart music and love stuff like this i love it

  • @mr95productions fuck yeah, there is hope for the next generation. God damn it sucked so much ass being in high school from 2000 to 2005 so much shitty ass fucking music no offense to anyone's music taste but damn it's no wonder every single musical group or band I like is all dead from decades past. Need more young people to dig the good shit.

  • 3 people worried.

  • Anyone know what kind of guitar he's playing?

  • ink spots ftw.

    greetz from germany

  • loved it when fred sanford imitated the ink spots lol

  • Thank you uploader....and thank you Dennis Potter & The Singing Detective.

    A wonderful evocative sound.

  • Also, the man on the far left is doing the Puppetmaster from Yo Gabba Gabba. Great song though.

  • The man on the far right of shot looks like a black Zeppo Marx

  • Comment removed

  • this band, sinatra, etc, have more substance in 1 verse of their music than a modernday #1 album...its true lol

  • Unbelieveable!! This must be the world first MV!!

  • 1:38 - Haha, yeah!

  • Comment removed

  • "Do I give a bag o beans"

    lol

  • Yes we do all worry,.... But the inkspots ease the pain!.

  • Bill Kenny has the most amazing voice.Really tall guy, big presence!

  • which one is Huey Long?

  • I'd chop off my left hand to be able to sing like this.

  • Can anyone tell me what guitar Deek used in this video?

  • Comment removed

  • at 1.39 it looked like he got a hold of some good weed...

  • What a fantastic voice. Jerry Daniels was great in the early line up too. Always like hearing their tunes.

  • The 20's - 50's, the time when people weren't so ignorant in pop music, and the time when there was actual prospective in music.

  • Holy crap, the Inkspots are black. I wouldv'e never known. o.o

  • heh interesting way to play the cello. but seems they made it work so more power to em.

  • 1:15 is so great.

  • 1:15 lol

  • ill listen to rap like tupac and nwa but when i wanna relax id listen to this and louis armstrong

  • @DrathDude3000: Listen here: being old-fashioned isn't bad, especially when it comes to things like music. I'm a little bit older than you, and my favorite tunes to listen to span from the 1910's to the 1960's.

  • gotta pay some love to the one on the far left when looking at the group from the audience, love the face he's making

  • I love this song, I blame that on the game Fallout 3. and im only 13 lol i even know this song almost by heart and i know the song i dont want to set the world on fire completely by heart.

  • wow live back from the fourties.

  • very funny man 1:39-1:43.. lool

  • this is nice... the aviator

  • i bet those guys got laid all the time!

and no std's to worry about back then!

  • 1:39-1:43 awesome

  • @RjCat hahahaa

  • @RjCat He just read another of those comments about how "365 people don't worry".

  • @RjCat 0:01-0:2:42 is awesome

  • Haha, I love that guys expression!

  • Wish there were clubs like that one - nights like that one...

  • @MrFotakias But without the right wing segregation and Racism, of course.

  • @SwingStu

    Of course without it.

  • one of the best bands :D i know of that time ^_^

  • @simpsonguru25 Same here, I would say that out of all the bands I like, The Inkspots is definitely in the top 5

  • This is a great song, but I kept laughing at the guy on the left xD

  • The Beautifull about The Ink Spots is its 100% timeless , right now i need to figure out things between me and a lady and just by going through there songs each song relates to an aspect im feeling and almost gives me the answer as they tell the story, Do I Worry? You Can Bet Your Life I Do ^^

  • I love this stuff THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS much.

  • i bet you all no.. when did they lose ther front man ive seen many vids with different people ..these are by far my favorate..thanks guys

  • think I! give a snap?......oh my goodness haha thats where that phrase came form, these guys started everything!

  • This music is amazing! I don't understand why this isn't popular nowadays. So many teens my age (I'm 14) listen to crap like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, but i prefer this type of music. My class mates think I'm old fashioned and weird because of my interest in this sort of music, sigh.

  • @Drathdude3000 I know the feeling,I'm 15 and I love The Ink spots and other "old fashioned" groups, while everyone around me just listens to whats popular without even giving something different a try.Sigh, when did good music go out of style?

  • @N0irCrims0n Wow I'm 14 and I feel the same way, today's music has almost not musical talent or quality. I'd say that once rap and/or hip hop started getting popular that people started undermeaning quality to popularity.

  • @Drathdude3000 That is sooooo true! I'm 14 too

  • @Drathdude3000

    Don't worry, it gets better.

  • @Drathdude3000 wammo is right, as you get older people start to wake up to better music. Im 17 and me and my friends are headbangers who go to metal concerts etc, but we are in love with the inkspots we sing their songs at lunch and listen to their music in the car.

  • @Drathdude3000 Don't worry I was the same way when I was at that age. I had a big thing for Chuck Berry and Sammy Davis Jr. instead of the latest rappers of the day.

  • @Drathdude3000 You're not old Fashioned, you're just educated on the history of music. As far as music goes you can't argue preference, people will like what they like. This music is definitely not the norm today. But, if this music speaks to you then more power to you.

  • @Drathdude3000 Not to be rude, because I'm right there with you (16). But, I see one of these same exact comments bashing Bieber and Gaga and praising Jazz and Club Singing in every video. Maybe we have more who share our ideas than you think. And really, more the merrier! Even though I kinda like being relatively original in my High School.

  • @Drathdude3000

haha same here, ppl think i'm a creep lol, and i'm 23... you wanna know why? it's cuz this kinda music actually stimulates brain, crap like gaga or beiber don't demand of you to use ur brain cells and most ppl nowdays don't think unless they have to...

  • @Drathdude3000 I totally agree! I'm 14 too, i love this old music, and everyone thinks its weird, they say its boring, but they just don't get what the music's about.

  • @alexpinabass Agreed.great music.

  • @Drathdude3000 Not to say there is not still good music out there, though. And dude,I'm 12.you should see how kids treat me for this.Great music, though.I hope it never goes away.

  • @Drathdude3000

I hear ya buddy! I'm 19, been listenting to this stuff since 16, and I still get critisized for my taste. Don't take it too hard; just throw one of these tracks on and everyhting melts away.

  • @Drathdude3000 me too im 12 and people say that im old fashioned i even still like atari and super nintendo and people say im old fashioned

  • @Drathdude3000 2 words you need to think of anyone that thinks you are weird

    " Fuck em"

Maybe you can start teasing them about how trendy they are and robotic :P

This type of music inspired the evolution of music today that your Trendy classmates take for granted...Remember that

  • @Drathdude3000 haha same here im 14 and everyone goes im a 70 odd year old man in a 14 year olds bbody and all my friends listen to hardcore slipnot and techno and they take hardly any talent to make, this music is the greatest music and our generation will be remembered for some pop and techno/ rap that takes no talent what a shame

  • @Drathdude3000 you are of to a good start dude, im 19 and i like this kind of music , Sinatra, The profesor Kay Kyser and the Ink Spots ....what wonderfull times when artists actually had talent...

  • @Drathdude3000 Dont worry man, you are not the only one, they can keep listen their talentless artist while we look back and listen to real artists. I think you and I and many many more were born in the wrong age (:

  • @Drathdude3000

Good for you! Carry on enjoying. This sort of music was well written and brilliantly executed. Check out the Mills Brothers too!

  • @Drathdude3000 Broo, Rock up to school in something Real retro, that'll turn heads. make it a suit and a fedora, or better yet a Greaser Outfit. ;P

  • @Drathdude3000

not alone dude, love this old american music, greetings from germany

  • @Drathdude3000 Fuck em' pal, you'll get loads of Jazz pussy at College/Uni....

  • @Drathdude3000 I KNOW RIGHT?? LADY GAGA FREAKS THE HELL OUT OF ME CAUSE MY LIL SIS TOLD ME SHE USED TO BE A FUCKING GUY!!!! she is a fan of her but me? HELL NO THE 40'S SEEMED THE LIKE THE BEST NEXT TO THE 50'S. im the same age of u

  • @Drathdude3000 FUCK YOUR CLASS MATES!

  • @Drathdude3000 dude, i'm 14 and mainly like metal, but this is where it all came from! this became rock, and rock became metal

  • when time travel would be real , ill go there and listen to them all day....

  • great music.

  • This performance is pure class.

  • I like these guys. They wrote one amazing song and stuck with it!

  • I don't give a bag of beans! Haha...so awesome

  • love the ink spots. just discovered them

  • @beanari

    Mate

I'm 70 and was brought up with these blokes and the Mills Brothers.

They just don't harmonise like that anymore.

  • Comment removed

  • Can never get enough of these guys. This is also an A+ tune.
