From face value, her music seemed like nothing special to me, so initially I didn't care for it all that much. But then her songs stayed in my head, and I couldn't figure out why. I kept listening to her music, and realized: the reason I liked her music was because it was the some of the most unique music I had ever heard, and underneath the effects, her vocal range is out of this world, and you can feel a certain passion in her voice that you can't feel anywhere else.

Ah, well, I'm just a hardcore frou frou fan, so I felt obliged to answer this.

Frou frou was a temporary project together with a music producer who wrote the music (yes, the were a two-man band), I can't remember his name, sadly. Imogen Heap was a singer/songwriter before frou frou came into being.
