I am currently repairing a PC with this OS installed. I recently removed a virus only to find that the registry has been corrupted. There is an error message saying that the original system disk needs to be installed for registry repair but, it is no where to be found. Would a mounted ISO file of this edition be adequate for repair without compromising the stored data on the HD?

wat happen was they found your os (microsoft) in order to use any windows black edition your suppose to lay low because windows black edition is illegal but i use it (cause im broke and dont want to pay for an os) my advice is to reinstall it and dont accept any updates with vallidating and if accidently download dont continue the installation of the validating because thats there way of cutting off you windows features

Man I already have Vista Black Edition 2009 (by BENJAMIN). But I forgot to install the graphic driver !!!!! So foolish of me !!! Well, I have 2 GB RAM in my laptop (Vista) 320 GB Hard Disk...1 GB in computer (XP) and 160 GB Hard Disk. Everything works fine. Sorry for that comment,,,!!!!

There isnt one. You just download it, burn the img file onto a disc and install it like every other os. It wont ask you for a activation key.

I mounted Win7 and upgraded from Vista. I haven't tried a clean install, but it should work the same, as all the files are copied to your computer before it begins restarting several times. Also this is clean. People who say it's not are either retarded or work for m$. Good day. As Long as you use your key you shouldn't have any problems.

I had to update because for some reason my clean install from CD Boot doesn't load. After several attempts on vista 32bit, 64bit, and black edition... i opted for installing clean XP and upgrading.. it works and im back in business... just one work around to my problem... tbh i think it is a bios issue but flashing the bios is a risk i don't wana take xD

If you notice that little black box in the upper right, that's the FPS where he's recording this. Well, the FPS are really low which explains why the cursor is jumpy.

No. I'm using it right now. Its great. Just a warning, your most likely going to have to install drivers to get some stuff working. I had to install a wireless driver. Just do a Windows Update. It usually fixes everything.

this is awesome edition by benjamin,no problem at all, its been 3 weeks, i've upgraded to vista sp2 now , and still workin charm,only thing is its got 3 viruses in addon softwares, don't install them, before burning the iso edit the iso with magic iso and delete viruses and burn it and boot it and ur done.scan the iso with any antivirus software.

my opinion: the reason people want vista is because how nice it looks. you can easily get a custom version of xp that looks really nice with plenty of themes even ones that look just like vista. i only use vista so i can play DX10 games but xp is more compatable with programs and runs faster

im already using this, my main problem is my video card driver, im using intel, it always have an error, whenever i shut down and open my laptop, the video i used to be the desktop backgroud will be gone, and it will turn to pure black, and i have to select the video again for it to be the backgroud again and again.

hmm, try unistalling ur video card drivers in the device manager (right click comp, props, device manager) then find your vista drivers online or on a disc or what have you. then install them and reboot. if that doesnt work idk =/

i downloaded this also next to my xp partition i didnt need to do a clean install i partitiond my hard drive so xp is on one partition and vista on the other its working fine i also recieved errors when updating but other than that its fine it seems to act like a dell machine cause if you right click my computer then properties then look at the company name it says dell hahha

hey, i finished downloading it and when i mount the .iso and the windows black eternity menu pops up, i click "Install Windows Eternity 2009" and nothing happens...............

this users problem was that the iso cant be mounted and be installing the Operating System at the same time. It needs to be burned to a bootable disc using a program like imgburn. then it needs to be booted off by restarting the target computer and booting from the dvd.

you can format your PC if you boot the vista black edition cd and press install but first you gotta choose which driver but you don't have to install just press format

you can do it with any vista version :)
