in all 14 years of my lifee , this is the only field show i havent seen . besidess BTOB field showss . i remember , i was in carowinds with the junior staff of the boyss & girlss club of coastal carolina , and my big brother was in town , so i didnt see him or go to the gamee . first homegame of that season right ?

First of all yes most of these guys could do dci style marching since they've all done that style in highschool. When you watch a dci band you go like wow look at the cav techinque omg listen to that phantom regiment musicallity. Everything is about being clean being in perfect order. HBCU is about having fun and putting on the best show possible. DCI puts on great shows im not saying they dont, but its hard to compete with in your face blasting and dancing the entire show.

I have to agree with drumatic11...DCI is better HANDS DOWN. I know plenty of people in HBCU bands that would say the same thing. I have been to a few never-ending practices with Carolina Crown(btw thats a DCI corps based out of SC) and they're not easy. And to ur comment.."when a DCI get their own shows and movies and they become the most view bands then yall will matter..." In 2007 the DCI Championships where aired on ESPN. Next time ur on look up DCI Championships and see how the crowd reacts.

Sounded dirty as all. The drumlin too. Want a real sounding band try anything else but Show style bands. Corp is the only way to go (DCI). And what the hell is the point of the "drum majors" if all they do is dance?! they might as well be on the dance team or some shit.I though drum majors were to conduct. Well idk atleast thats what they do in Drum Corps.

you can't rate the general hbcu band rep based off of one video and especially not one band......DCI bands are good and so are HBCU bands...and each style has it's pros and cons....HBCUs are better at entertainment and DCI are better at discipline...there are some HBCU bands that are more disciplined than DCI bands just as there are some DCI bands that are more entertaining than HBCU bands...HOWEVER THE DIFFICULTY OF THE TWO STYLES WEIGHTED ON A SCALE SHOWS THAT HBCU bands are more difficult.
