I saw him in New Haven in the early to mid 70s, he did this number, and others on his album Demon in Disguise. It was a small club,I don't believe he wasn't that well known at that time, I think Bonnie Rait opened for him, I'm not sure, I had won radio tickets for the concert, Was really impressed with his performance with such a small group of people! Bonnie Rait, was also outstanding! I believe it was Bonnie Rait long auburn hair, May have touring touring together !( it had to be before 78)!
So this is absolutely classic - Bromberg is a master and I used to go see him all the time in central NY back in the 70's. And back in Feb 1977 David played the Stanley Theater in Utica - and right next store was an exotic dance club - and lo and behold when David broke into Sharon - indeed he had a local dancer up on stage - this takes me back to 1977 - nice way to bring in the New Year.
oh thank goodness you got this on video. thank you. I was front row schools side floor and beat myself up for leaving the vid camera, etc. home---so now i can forgive myself. Thank You. Absolutely the highlight of the New year and considering my girlfriend is SHARON I couldn't be happier as I continue to drool from the Bromberg Panic Sharon!!! HAPPY NEW YEARS ALL!!!
Nice! Like how he shows Jimmy and rest of the boys how you turn a 12min cover into a 18min work of art! Maybe they can take soemthing from Old Hood too
My late husband introduced me to David Bromberg. Love the man and his music!

Got home from a NYE party, put the wife to bed and logged onto the stream right before Sharon started, shit was sick. Nice vid!

This was frickin' badass. My friends got engaged during this Sharon, right there in Section 122. What an awesome New Years!
