I'm like 90% positive I've heard people on MSNBC use the same term. In fact, when this first started, I vividly remember watching abc news say this had potential to be the worst natural disaster the US has ever seen.

I don't know if people are intentionally using this terminology to take blame off BP and push some kind of agenda, or if people are using it incorrectly, I just know this dude isn't alone.

Everyone needs to just call it an oil disaster lol. Is that really so hard?

@LoryLandskipper I think they say: 'Environmental Disaster' (meaning a disaster *upon/against Nature*. 'Man-made disaster' is more appropriate really. It's disasters like these that contaminate our planet. If abc called the spill a 'natural disaster' then someone should pull them up about it.

Rand Paul isn't a "racist extremist." It's simple: If I own a restaurant and I don't want to serve the "God hates fags" people, I should be able to deny them service without getting in trouble for discriminating against their religion.

Libs try and paint him as a racist because they know the majority of us condemn that. Ironically, this supports what Rand Paul has said on the subject: Our society condemns racism, and a business will suffer from denying service based on race.

I don't think that would happen as much as you think, and even if it did, that business owner should have the freedom to conduct THEIR business the way they want. They pay taxes, paid for the property, and chose to compete in the market they're in.

Really, do you think there would be racist businesses popping up everywhere? In our capitalist society, if one business denies you, another will snatch you up in a heartbeat, and the business who denied you will suffer because of it.

The Freedom you describe is one of no laws , do as you like , Wild West style.

I hope you are aware there are laws , enforced by authorities.
