  • they're still solid

  • I love this album as a whole, I just love how the songs tie into each other with the lady singing '60s music

  • God. I love this.

  • are they still with tower records?

  • Wasn't too fond with this album, especially with loving every song from all their previous albums, but this is the only one I really like from Daisy...

  • Oh god, they sound so much like Modest Mouse, meaning I'll favorite it and download some tomorrow most likely.

  • What is that behind the trees in the albumn cover. I've never noticed that before. At first glance i thought it was some huge orbital alien ship lol. But taking a second look it might just be a house

  • Who gives a shit if you think their older stuff is better?

    It's all amazing, appreciate it.

  • real lyrics at bridge:

I stole bricks from the dam almost every day

now im drowning in the flood i've made

will they explain myself to me on the other side?

im gonna want some answers when i die

  • Brand New is so underrated. It's criminal. I want to go see them live so bad and no one I know is into them anymore, no one wants to come with me. They've been my favorite band for forever. And they only get better and better, it's insanee

  • @l1nd5mar13 We just saw them in Long Island last month for the first time...EPIC! Don't wait for someone you know to go JUST GO! You will not regret it!

  • @l1nd5mar13

They are worth going to see by yourself :) I saw them on the daisy tour (along with Manchester Orchestra) and it was awesome, ... although no encore

  • love it all, and still they just get progressively better and better. n_n

  • We never are what we intend

    Or invent

  • Hey, I personally think that every album other than Your Favorite Weapon is equally great. YFW is just not good in my opinion, not compared to this masterpiece.

  • all of us who say we love this song the most, only say so cause we want drugs served on a silver plate..and cause its an epic fuckin song

  • This song so easily gets stuck in my head!

  • So many bands these days just play music that they know will sell and will get played on mainstream radio channels. Music these days is all about the money, not about the quality. i like brand new because their music is pure musical talent and is different. Bands like Kings of leon only got big because they simplified their music and made it 'radio friendly' ie simple, short, and shit

  • this song is soooo good. i can't stop listening to it. i fucking love brand new.

  • They wouldnt be Brand New if thier music never progressed.

  • I've listened to EVERY brand new song in existance, and this song + album is rocking! the rest is is so fucking dull, boring and lifeless!

  • awesome song!

  • There is a reason why there are 0 dislikes on this video. Brand new is boss.

  • i loled at the fox's talk bubble

  • I like their new stuff better..sorry but I don't like their first album at all. All the songs more or less sound the same and overall they just sounded like a band starting out (and they were). They got better with Deja Entendu and blew me away with Devil and God are Raging Inside Me. They seemed to take a darker edge with Devil and God and I can still hear that in this new CD. Their first CD sounded too much like Blink 182 or something..That kind of music gets boring after a while.

  • OMG I lUv bRaNd NeW

  • Why does everyone have fucked up lyrics posted for this song?

  • The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me is definitely my favourite album by them. I'm in love with almost every single song on it. Their music is so beautiful and their metaphors are so perfectly crafted, it amazes me.

  • If they kept their current music in the same vein as their past music you wankers would complain that they weren't progressive and that their music stayed the same. How about you just appreciate them for what they are and if you don't then just leave it and keep to their old stuff?

  • the reason why i believe brand new is at a higher level musically than many other bands out there is because they evolve. they don't stick to one particular sound that they they know will sell and exploit the hell out of. every single album of theirs sounds different, and albeit i love them all, i do have ones i favor more than others. i really think artists of this nature, constantly evolving their sound, are of the highest caliber <3 but to each his own :)

  • I really love their old stuff as much as the new music.

  • Some men die under mountains looking for gold, others die looking for a hand to hold. Awesome line...

  • this & daisy & vices are my favorites off the new album <3

  • like a more hard rock-y modest mouse..

  • you guys are the reason mainstream music is lame, they've matured so much and this album they've created is testament to everything they've done. They can't go back to being old brand new because they were teenagers back then and your music influence is SUPPOSED to grow with age. Some people don't get it

  • @rangerofheaven Exactly.

  • @rangerofheaven The reason mainstream music is so lame is because music as sick as this isn't mainstream

  • @rangerofheaven agree 100%

  • @rangerofheaven

Mainstream music would be lame regardless.

  • "explain myself to me on the other side. i'm gonna want some answers when i die."

  • I love this song. Is the best... ♥

  • Now I'm drowning in the flood I made.

Well, explain myself to me on the other side.

<3 my tattoo. This song is beautiful.

  • this is my fovorite song from brand new, but my favorite album as a whole is either deja entendu, or the devil and god are raging inside me. probably deja entendu...

  • for some reason I feel like the vocals lose Jessie Lacey's voice. I know better but I almost question whether it's him singing every time I hear this tune.

still very good though, don't get me wrong.

  • @KaysAnimus The vocal style is quite different, but listen to the chorus. When he sings that i can feel it. I feel his emotion through his vocals, and that's what Jesse's voice has always been about to me. Yes, he has an amazing voice, but more importantly his voice makes me feel emotion.

  • this is probaly the only song i like on this album

  • @XXsk8trgrlXX probably because they tried to go too far from their old inspirations, thus, alienating their older audience. Just like with alexisonfire and their old crows young cardinals album.

  • i think their new cd is amazing better than all their older stuff personally..

  • It's 'which psalms we had learned the most'

and 'I stole bricks from the dam almost everyday and now I'm drowning in the flood I've made'

  • love this song, thanks for the upload

  • yes it is, thank you.

  • @eagleplyr12 FALSE FAGGOT

  • @eagleplyr12 Their old sound was so generic and mainstream, though it was catchy and entertaining, I think they've matured a lot.

  • @eagleplyr12 Meh, their old stuff just sounds like generic post-hardcore/emo, Devil and God is where they really started to progress. I absolutely despise post-hardcore in general but their last two albums are unbelievably good.

  • @Unremarkable1000 Except for Fugazi!

  • @eagleplyr12 Surely not as far as their first album? No offense, but that album is cookie cutter music. This band has definitely matured through the years.

I'm not even crazy for these guys.

  • @eagleplyr12 'The Devil and God...' is their best album.

  • @eagleplyr12 naaaa i LOVE this album with so much passion i think they got better . What on the old albums do you think is better im not trollin just wondering

  • this is a very intense song when you really listen to the lyrics..one of my most favorite

  • only in the beginning. but it's a quite near resemblance.)

  • they sound a little like modest mouse

  • this song is fricken awesome!

  • @eagleplyr12 sorry but these have matured and will never go back to the old ways

  • @MrAlexg91 well, they havent matured, hell they havent changed, just jesse didnt write this album -.-

of course there's going to be more of the "old" brand new, and more of this brand new

  • @shadowkrai doubt it, they were so young at the time. just like the artist, music matures as well

  • @eagleplyr12 "Old Brand New"? I don't really understand that, because Brand New have taken a completely different approach in each of their four albums so far.

  • @Meteddica Exactly! When we refer to 'old Brand New' who exactly are we referring to? the dark indie of Deja, the dense pondering of Devil and God or the all-out, could-not-give-a-fuck heavy Brand New of Daisy? You know Brand New are Brand New whether it's biting about awful girlfriends or imploring the afterlife.
