The swarm occurred at El Golfo in the northwest of the island at the location of a landslide that created a 100 metre high tsunami about 50,000 years ago.
RSOE EDIS often shows quakes in this region that will NEVER appear on the USGS map. Quake activity has undeniably picked up in many places, Puerto Rico, the big island of Hawaii and Seattle just to name a few, all of which offer tsunami threats. However NYC has a harbor shaped like a funnel pointing at Wall St and all the underground infrastructure is an aging nightmare, just submerging that into seawater, will render NYC uninhabitable if no one got more than their ankles wet on the street.
I wouldnt expect that to happen but it is always good to have a plan, note this is not on La Palma but El Hierro and they are closely monitoring it currently now.
living in florida , this is the place I have been giving my attn. to if that island falls off again were gonners though i'm west coast fl, it would sweep all the way across
